The Infantry Fighting Vehicle CMR-31 is a hulking war machine built for the front lines of brutal sci-fi conflicts, arriving as a fully physical resin miniature with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting. Measuring approximately 83 x 145 mm footprint and standing 72 mm tall, this imposing vehicle dominates any wargaming table and serves as a centrepiece for grimdark armoured forces. The kit comprises 70 individual parts and includes a full assembly guide, ensuring hobbyists can bring every rivet, hatch, and weapon mount to life with confidence.

The Infantry Fighting Vehicle CMR-31 comes packed with interchangeable weapon options, including a multi-barrel rotary cannon, a single large-bore cannon, and a compact turret-mounted weapon, giving you genuine flexibility in how you arm your vehicle for different battlefield roles. A front-mounted bulldozer blade adds aggressive utility, and a fully sculpted commander figure rises from the open hatch, clutching a heavy weapon and surveying the carnage ahead. The opposing side of the hull features additional stowage, piping, tools, and battle-worn surface detailing that reward careful painting techniques.

Two separate turret cupola variants are included, allowing further customisation to suit your chosen force doctrine. Every surface of this resin miniature rewards close inspection, with studded armour panels, mechanical vents, riveted plates, and integrated sci-fi iconography lending the model its grimdark character. The track units are richly detailed and the side skirts carry additional texture and sculptural weight.

Whether you are fielding armoured columns for large-scale narrative campaigns or seeking a commanding vehicle for smaller skirmish encounters, the Infantry Fighting Vehicle CMR is a versatile and visually striking addition to any collection. This physical kit ships to your door ready to be assembled and painted to your personal standard.

Painting Guide: Infantry Fighting Vehicle CMR-31, Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures

The scale and surface complexity of this model reward methodical painting. Work in thin layers, let each stage dry fully, and tackle one panel section at a time to keep your results clean and controlled.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black spray primer across all assembled or sub-assembled parts, ensuring full coverage inside the track recesses and weapon barrels.
  • A zenithal highlight in white from directly above will pre-shade the model and speed up subsequent highlighting stages.

2. Armour Base

  • Apply your chosen base colour in thin, even coats. Military olive drab, dusty tan, urban grey, or deep green all suit the grimdark aesthetic well.
  • Use a large flat brush to block in large panels efficiently, then tighten edges with a smaller brush.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out hatches, vents, pipes, and stowage in contrasting neutral tones such as dark brown, leather, or aged bone.
  • Paint any iconography or insignia carefully with a fine detail brush, using thinned paint for crisp edges.

4. Weapons

  • Base weapon barrels and housings in dark gunmetal or black, then drybrush with silver to bring out the machined edges and bore openings.
  • Apply a thinned black wash into recesses around breech blocks and mounting hardware to increase depth and contrast.

5. Weathering

  • Chip the armour panels with a sponge and dark brown, followed by a lighter silver chip layer for a battle-worn appearance.
  • Apply streaking grime effects with a liner brush and brown or ochre oil paint, working from rivets and vents downward. Finish with pigments in dust or mud tones around the lower hull and track units.

6. Bases

  • Model a rubble or muddy warzone base to complement the vehicle, using texture paste, fine gravel, and tufts sized appropriately for the large footprint of this model.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
