The Ignomenioness Squad arrives as a set of five physical resin miniatures, each standing 32mm from feet to eyes, cast in clean grey resin with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box. Supplied unpainted.

This is a warrior congregation drawn from a devout and militant tradition, blending the aesthetic of ancient arena fighters with the iron conviction of a holy order. The squad is led by a towering commander figure, her flowing red cape swept back mid-stride as she raises a powered flail and grinds a fallen enemy beneath her armoured boot. A looping cable trails from the weapon head, adding dramatic motion to the sculpt. The four fighters who accompany her are equipped with broad, heavy blades and wear a mix of classical helms, close-faced masks, and bared, battle-scarred faces. Each trooper carries a distinct posture and silhouette, from a lunging warrior mid-charge to a grounded fighter bracing for impact, giving the squad visual variety across the gaming table.

Belt buckles, pauldrons, and tunic panels all carry a recurring fleur-de-lis motif, tying the unit together as a cohesive force without relying on identical poses or equipment. The squad offers a rewarding mix of large cloth surfaces, bare skin, layered armour, and fine iconographic detail. Work through each element methodically and the unit will read as a unified force at arm's length while still rewarding close inspection on the shelf.

1. Prime

• Apply a thin, even coat of grey spray primer across all five miniatures to capture fine surface detail cleanly.
• Follow with a zenithal highlight from above using white primer to establish natural light direction before any paint touches the model.

2. Armour Base

• Basecoat armour plates with a mid-tone steel grey, such as Leadbelcher or equivalent, applied by brush or airbrush.
• Block in the large cloth areas of the capes and tunics with a deep ivory or off-white before adding any shading to preserve brightness in the final result.

3. Trim and Details

• Pick out belt buckles, fleur-de-lis medallions, and helmet fittings in a warm brass or gold tone to draw the eye to the squad's shared iconography.
• Layer a highlight of bright gold or Liberator Gold over raised edges to add dimension against the darker basecoat.

4. Weapons

• Paint blade surfaces with a dark steel, then draw a thin highlight along each cutting edge using a fine liner brush to capture the worn, functional look of arena blades.
• Render the commander's cable and flail handle in a near-black with subtle cool grey highlights to give it a mechanical, industrial weight.

5. Weathering

• Apply a brown or sepia wash over armour panels and then selectively remove it from raised surfaces while wet, leaving depth in recesses.

6. Bases
