Gothic Sci-fi horror meets brutal martial power in this squad of Vampire Knight Desecrators, five heavily armoured warriors clad in corrupted plate adorned with spikes, skulls, chains, and riveted battle damage. Each figure stands approximately 32mm to the top of its helmet and arrives as a physical resin miniature with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint.

This squad of five comes with a generous selection of modular parts visible in the kit spread: five distinct helmet variants numbered 1 through 5, five chest plate options, three sets of lower body legs with grim trophies hanging from chains, and a full range of arm and weapon combinations including heavy bolter-style cannons, grenade launchers, and brutal close-range firearms decorated with studs and gothic detailing. Additional tubes and cables allow for further customisation of each warrior so no two need look identical on the tabletop.

The Gothic Sci-fi aesthetic running through every part of this kit is deliberate and consistent. Corrupted iconography, bone and skull motifs, heavy spiked shoulder guards, and baroque armour panelling give these figures an unmistakable feel of ancient evil wrapped in industrial armour. They suit any grimdark setting and integrate naturally alongside similarly scaled 28mm to 32mm forces.

Resin captures fine detail at this scale exceptionally well, and these sculpts from Atlan Forge take full advantage of that. Surface texture, bolt-head rivets, chain links, and worn battle damage all translate cleanly to the physical casts. The parts fit together at clearly designed join points, making assembly straightforward with standard plastic or superglue.

Painting Guide: Gothic Sci-Fi Warriors - Vampire Knight Desecrators

These Gothic Sci-fi figures reward a methodical painting approach. Their layered armour plates and recessed details respond beautifully to contrast and shade washes, while the chains, skulls, and metal trim offer satisfying opportunities for targeted highlight work.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black primer to all surfaces using a spray or brush-on primer rated for resin.
  • Black primer suits a dark corrupted scheme. Grey suits a more battle-worn mid-tone approach.

2. Armour Base

  • For a corrupted midnight scheme, base coat the armour panels in a deep navy or dark blue-black such as Kantor Blue or Incubi Darkness.
  • Alternatively, use Abaddon Black or Corvus Black for a pure night-black corrupted plate effect.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint raised trim, rivets, and border details in Retributor Armour or Gehenna's Gold for a tarnished gilded effect.
  • Wash the gold areas with Agrax Earthshade or Reikland Fleshshade to bring depth and an aged, corrupted finish.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat weapon bodies in Leadbelcher and wash with Nuln Oil for a used, industrial metal tone.
  • Pick out studs and mechanical details with Runefang Steel as a final edge highlight to give the weapons presence on the tabletop.

5. Weathering

  • Dry brush armour edges lightly with Thunderhawk Blue or Dark Reaper to simulate deep worn scratches on the dark plates.
  • Apply a stippled rust effect to chain links and exposed lower leg armour using Skrag Brown and Ryza Rust for a grimdark, neglected battlefield feel.

6. Bases

  • Texture the base with a dark volcanic or ash waste texture paste and dry brush with Administratum Grey for a hellscape aesthetic that matches the figures' background art.
