Gothic Sci-Fi resin miniatures arrive in this Parlous Hermits Build Kit, a squad of three highly detailed space elf warriors sculpted for grimdark tabletop wargaming. Each figure stands approximately 31mm from feet to eyes and comes as a physical, pre-printed resin model with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box.

The kit contains 74 parts in total, with 47 unique components including multiple head variants, arm options, capes, weapons, and decorative banners. Whether you prefer ranged specialists levelling sleek energy rifles, or close-quarters fighters wielding ornate spears and blades, the modular build system gives you the freedom to create visually distinct warriors within a cohesive Gothic Sci-Fi aesthetic. Bat-wing standards, feathered crests, and skull-adorned details reinforce the dark, ceremonial character of this faction.

Bodies are dynamic and varied in pose, conveying aggression and swift, predatory movement. Cloaks billow and tatter at the edges, armour plates carry subtle organic curves, and weapon designs blend arcane ritual with cold futuristic function. These are collector-grade sculpts intended for experienced hobbyists who appreciate fine detail and meaningful customisation options within a Gothic Sci-Fi visual language.

Supplied unpainted. Assembly required. Superglue recommended. Models are cast in high-quality grey resin.

Painting Guide: Gothic Sci-Fi Space Elf Warriors - Parlous Hermits Build Kit

This guide is designed for intermediate painters looking to bring a dark, ceremonial look to their squad while keeping the Gothic Sci-Fi atmosphere intact across all three figures.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of black or dark grey spray primer across all assembled components.
  • For lighter armour schemes, follow with a zenithal highlight of white or light grey from above.

2. Armour Base

  • Apply a deep purple or cold blue-grey as the main armour colour to reinforce the alien, gothic feel.
  • Thin your paint to roughly the consistency of skimmed milk and build up two or three smooth layers.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out armour trim and crest details in a pale bone or aged gold to contrast the deep armour tone.
  • Use a fine detail brush on the skull ornaments, painting them in off-white with a sepia wash to add depth.

4. Weapons

  • Base the energy rifle barrels and glowing gem details in a deep teal or turquoise, then layer up to a bright mint highlight at the tip and lens edges.
  • Paint metal components of spears and blades in a dark steel, then edge highlight with bright silver.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a thin coat of Agrax Earthshade or similar brown wash into recesses on cloaks and organic surfaces.
  • Dry brush cloak edges and tattered fabric lightly with a mid-grey to suggest age and battle wear.

6. Bases

  • Texture paste in dark grey or black suits a ruined gothic cityscape theme.
  • Finish with a few tufts of dead grass or verdigris pigment on stonework elements for a desolate look.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
