Gorgworks Copters are brutal, heavily armed rotary gunships designed for the grimdark battlefields of the far future, supplied as a squad of three physical resin miniatures, fully printed, supports removed, and ready to assemble and paint. Each model measures approximately 65mm tall on its flight stand, with a 65x70mm footprint, making them a commanding presence on any tabletop. The sculpts feature skull-adorned cockpits, twin engine pods, side-mounted weapon hardpoints, and aggressive rotor assemblies that ooze menace from every angle.

Each Gorgworks Copters kit contains 25 parts per model, giving you meaningful assembly options across the squad. Three distinct loadout configurations are visible across the set, with interchangeable nose weapons, sensor clusters, and wing ordnance. The resin captures fine surface detail across every panel, grille, and mechanical joint, rewarding careful painting. The elevated flight stands keep the rotors clear of the base and allow for dynamic angled positioning mid-game.

These miniatures are compatible with most 28mm scale sci-fi wargaming systems and fit naturally into greenskin-aligned or mercenary mechanised forces. Whether used as fast attack units, objective harassers, or aerial fire support, the Gorgworks Copters bring visual impact and tactical variety to any collection. The physical resin construction is rigid and durable once assembled, suitable for regular handling during gameplay.

Supplied unpainted and unassembled. Plastic or cyanoacrylate glue is recommended for assembly. Painting and basing materials are sold separately.

Painting Guide: Gorgworks Copters - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures

The following guide is written for intermediate painters and covers a worn, industrial scheme suited to the aggressive character of the Gorgworks Copters. Adjust colours freely to match your existing force palette.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black spray primer in a thin, even coat across all assembled parts.
  • Allow full drying time of at least one hour before proceeding.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the main fuselage and rotor housing in a deep, desaturated green or dirty grey.
  • Apply a second thin coat if coverage is uneven, focusing on recessed panel areas.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out cockpit frames, exhaust vents, and mechanical joints in a dark iron or gunmetal tone.
  • Dot lens details on sensors and cockpit visors with a bright orange or red for visual contrast.

4. Weapons

  • Paint all weapon barrels and hardpoints in a cold steel, drybrushed lightly over a black undercoat.
  • Add a spot colour such as yellow or bone to warhead tips and ammo feeds to break up the metallics.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a dark brown or black wash across the entire model to deepen recesses and panel lines.
  • Drybrush raised edges with a light silver or off-white to simulate chipped paint and battle wear.
  • Add rust streaks around exhausts and joints using a stippled orange-brown applied with a torn sponge.

6. Bases

  • The flight stands suit a simple grey or black urban rubble treatment to contrast the warm tones of the model.
  • Seal the finished miniature with a matte varnish to protect paintwork during play.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
