The Gorggrot Tactical Squad x 10 brings brutal, characterful sci-fi infantry to your wargaming table in a set of ten finely detailed physical resin miniatures, each supplied with supports already removed and cleaned, ready to assemble and paint. These stocky, tusked warriors wear a mix of reinforced combat armour, gas masks, and visored helms, giving the squad a gritty, frontline feel that suits any grimdark battlefield. Each model stands approximately 29 mm from feet to eyes, making them compatible with most popular 28 mm and 32 mm scale wargames.
The squad is packed with variety. Weapon options across the ten models include heavy rotary cannons, boxy sci-fi pistols, brutal cleaver axes and combat blades, giving you genuine tactical flexibility when building your force. Two larger, more heavily armoured troopers anchor the unit, while the remaining fighters strike dynamic poses that suggest a squad pushing forward under fire. The Gorggrot Tactical Squad x 10 is sculpted with deeply cut panel lines, pouches, straps and mechanical details that reward careful painting and wash work.
All ten miniatures are cast in high-quality grey resin. Minor mould lines may be present and can be cleaned with a hobby knife before painting. No bases are included beyond those shown in product images, so check compatibility with your preferred system. If you are building a larger greenskin-inspired force, the Gorggrot Tactical Squad x 10 pairs well with command and heavy support models to create a cohesive, fearsome warband.
Assembly glue such as super glue or plastic-compatible resin adhesive is recommended for any multi-part pieces. Primer is essential before painting to ensure paint adhesion on resin surfaces.
Painting Guide: Gorggrot Tactical Squad x 10 - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThis squad rewards bold contrast and heavy weathering. Follow these steps for a battle-worn, grimdark result that will look great on any gaming table.
1. Prime
- Spray or brush-apply a grey or black primer over all surfaces, ensuring full coverage inside recesses and under armour plates.
- Allow to cure fully before moving on, ideally leaving overnight in a dust-free space.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a base coat of dark olive green or desaturated khaki to the armour panels for a military field look.
- Alternatively, use dark iron or gunmetal for a more industrial, urban warband aesthetic.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out straps, pouches and fabric undergarments in a warm brown or ragged leather tone.
- Use a muted bone or off-white for any exposed tusks, teeth or decorative skull motifs.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat all gun bodies and axe heads in a dark steel or boltgun metal, then apply a thinned black wash to define mechanical recesses.
- Edge-highlight with a lighter silver to give a worn, used metal effect on blades and gun barrels.
5. Weathering
- Apply a brown or sepia wash over the whole model to tie all colours together and settle pigment into recesses.
- Drybrush armour edges with a pale grey or silver to simulate chipped paint and battle damage.
- Add rust streaks using a stippled orange-brown around joints and lower armour panels.
6. Bases
- Texture with paste or sand, paint in a dark earthy brown, drybrush with a pale stone colour and finish with tufts of dead grass for a desolate warzone setting.
