The Blasphemous Procession Miniature is a stunning centrepiece for any dark fantasy collection, depicting a decadent ruler carried aloft on an ornate palanquin by a retinue of muscular, masked bearers. This physical resin kit arrives with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready for assembly and painting. The set consists of 16 parts and assembles into a single cohesive model measuring approximately 62.5mm in height, 68mm in width, and 92.5mm in length, all mounted on a 100mm round base.
Every detail of this Blasphemous Procession Miniature has been sculpted with exceptional care. The palanquin itself features gothic filigree panelling, hanging lanterns, draped chains, and an ornate triangular canopy crown, while the reclining figures atop it ooze arrogant authority. The six bearer figures surrounding the platform are rendered with precise muscular anatomy and carry the weight of the litter in dynamic, strained poses that convey both servitude and raw physical power. The whole composition reads as a procession of corrupt nobility moving through a world consumed by darkness and ritual.
This kit is ideal for use as a warlord model, a narrative centrepiece, a terrain feature, or a display piece. It is sculpted by DakkaDakka and draws inspiration from grimdark fantasy factions built around excess, devotion, and brutal hierarchy. Whether you are building a thematic army or adding a focal piece to a display board, this model commands attention from every angle.
The kit is cast in high-detail grey resin. Assembly requires plastic cement or superglue and standard hobby tools. Painting is sold separately.
Painting Guide: Blasphemous Procession Miniature – 28mm Dark Fantasy KitThe following guide is designed to help you bring this Blasphemous Procession Miniature to life using a dark, ritualistic colour palette that suits the grimdark tone of the sculpt.
1. Prime
- Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and light grey from above to pre-shade the model and emphasise the sculpted detail before any colour is applied.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the palanquin structure in a deep burgundy or dark teal to suggest aged lacquered wood or corrupted metal.
- Apply a thin black wash over all panels to deepen recesses and reinforce shadows in the ornate detailing.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the filigree, chains, and hanging lanterns with a tarnished gold such as a mix of Retributor Armour and Agrax Earthshade.
- Highlight the raised edges of the canopy crown with a bright gold or pale bronze to create contrast against the darker panels.
4. Weapons
- Paint any bladed or pole details in a dark steel, layered up from black to gunmetal with a fine edge highlight of silver.
- Add a spot of verdigris or rust to suggest age and neglect on the metalwork.
5. Weathering
- Stipple thinned Rhinox Hide or similar dark brown around the base of the bearers feet and the lower palanquin to suggest road dust and grime.
- Apply a thin oil paint filter of dark brown across the whole model to unify tones and tie the palette together.
6. Bases
- Texture the 100mm base with fine grit paste, drybrush in stone grey, and add small tufts of dead grass or cracked resin pieces to reinforce the oppressive setting.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
