The Dragon Knights Assault Infernos are a squad of five heavily armoured sci-fi warriors, sculpted in breathtaking detail at 32mm scale and delivered to you as physical resin miniatures with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint. Each warrior combines brutalist power armour with reptilian scale textures, avian feather detailing, and ornate dragon iconography, creating a grimdark aesthetic that commands attention on any battlefield tabletop.
This squad of five includes a variety of weapon loadouts observed across the unit. Three warriors carry large ornate shields decorated with scale and flame motifs, paired with swords and spears for close assault roles. One warrior is armed with a heavy sidearm and wields a war hammer, suited to a support or breacher role. The fifth carries twin blades, making them ideal as a flanking or strike specialist. Crown-like crests adorn several helmets, reinforcing the regal and fearsome character of the Dragon Knights Assault Infernos across the squad.
Each miniature is cast in high-quality grey resin, capturing fine surface detail including individual scales, feather layering, mechanised joint plating, and weathered battle damage. The 32mm scale ensures compatibility with most popular sci-fi wargaming systems. Assembly may be required for some parts. Plastic glue is not suitable for resin. Super glue or resin-specific adhesive is recommended.
These models are produced by Atlan Forge, a studio known for ambitious fantasy-meets-sci-fi design language. They suit collectors, competitive players, and painters who want a squad with both visual impact and strong lore presence on the table.
Painting Guide: Dragon Knights Assault InfernosThe following guide will help you bring your Dragon Knights Assault Infernos to life with a grimdark colour palette suited to their warrior-king aesthetic.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black primer evenly across all surfaces to preserve the fine scale and feather details.
- A zenithal highlight using white primer from above will help pre-shade the model and speed up later stages.
2. Armour Base
- Base coat the power armour plates in a deep midnight blue or dark iron grey for a brooding grimdark feel.
- Alternatively, use a rich crimson base for a bloodsworn warband look, working up to a brighter red on raised edges.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint all armour trim and crown crests in a gold or burnished brass tone, then wash with a brown shade for aged depth.
- Pick out the dragon iconography and scale textures in a contrasting teal or bone colour to make them stand apart from the armour field.
4. Weapons
- Base coat blades in a cold steel, highlight with silver, and apply a blue or green glaze along the edges to suggest mystical sharpening.
- Paint shields to match the armour field, then add freehand flame or claw marks to reinforce each warrior's individual character.
5. Weathering
- Stipple a darker grey or brown over armour edges to simulate battle wear and scratched plating.
- Apply a rust or earth wash into recesses around joints and lower armour plates to suggest heavy field use.
6. Bases
- Texture paste or fine grit glued to the base, painted in scorched earth tones with cracked dry pigment, suits the volcanic backdrop theme of the squad imagery.
- Add ember orange spot colour or small flock tufts to break up the base and tie the squad together visually.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
