Diseased war engines do not march, they fester forward, dragging ruin in their wake. The Diseased Vehicle - Contaminated Breacher Suit is a grotesque fusion of corrupted machinery and rotting biomass, designed to smash through fortified lines while exuding an aura of decay. Its hulking silhouette looms at 93mm high, a suffocating presence on the battlefield that radiates entropy with every grinding step.
Once a revered combat walker, this Diseased construct has been reshaped by creeping contagion. Its armour plating bulges and splits, revealing layers of infected growth beneath corroded ceramite. Tubes pulse with unknown fluids, and vents leak toxic vapours into the air. The frame retains a brutal, utilitarian structure reminiscent of a scout-pattern walker, but its symmetry has been lost to organic corruption and mutation.
The weapon systems of this Diseased behemoth are as unstable as its form. A massive claw, twisted and overgrown, serves both as a siege tool and a close-quarters execution device. Mounted alongside are multiple heavy weapon options, including plasma, autocannon, and a grotesquely infected variant that appears almost alive. Missile systems jut from its frame at unnatural angles, suggesting barely-contained destructive power waiting to be unleashed.
On the battlefield, the Diseased Breacher Suit excels at shock assaults and area denial. It advances relentlessly, shrugging off damage that would cripple lesser machines. Enemies are forced to contend not only with its firepower but with the psychological horror of its presence—an unstoppable engine of rot that refuses to die. Its corrupted systems seem to regenerate or ignore catastrophic damage, making it a nightmare to bring down.
Visually, this model offers a rich canvas for hobbyists. Layers of decay, ruptured armour, and biomechanical details invite experimentation with textures, corrosion effects, and organic colour schemes. Whether you emphasise rust, rot, or pulsating infection, this Diseased construct becomes a centrepiece of any grimdark collection.
This set consists of ready-to-assemble parts. Super glue is best for assembly.
Painting Guide: Diseased Vehicle - Contaminated Breacher Suit
Bring this corrupted war engine to life with a palette of decay and ruin.
1. Prime
- Use a black or dark brown primer for a grim, shadowed base.
2. Armour Base
- Apply muted greens, dirty yellows, or sickly off-whites for the main armour.
- Highlight with pale green or bone tones to create a worn, aged effect.
3. Trim and Details
- Use dark metallics like iron or bronze for trim, with patches of corrosion.
- Apply brown and green washes to deepen recesses and add a Diseased look.
4. Weapons
- Paint weapons in dark metallics with heat staining or verdigris effects.
- Add subtle glow effects to plasma elements using sickly greens or purples.
5. Weathering
- Add chipping, rust streaks, and pitted textures across armour panels.
- Focus grime around joints, vents, and lower limbs for realism.
6. Bases
- Create swampy or corrupted terrain using mud textures, slime effects, and dead vegetation.
