Contaminated Battle Tank is a Diseased Vehicle engineered to spread corruption and industrial rot across the battlefield while still functioning as a brutal armoured platform. This grotesque war machine blends heavy armour with bloated organic growths, creating the impression of a vehicle long consumed by infection yet driven onward by sheer momentum and malign purpose.
Measuring approximately 166mm in length, 79mm in width, and 39mm in height, the Contaminated Battle Tank dominates the table with a low, crushing silhouette. Swollen growths spill across its hull, weapon mounts, and track guards, suggesting a machine slowly being overtaken by disease rather than merely decorated by it. Multiple weapon options and corrupted surface details give the model a constantly evolving, asymmetrical appearance that reinforces its diseased nature.
Within a Diseased Vehicle–themed force, the Contaminated Battle Tank functions naturally as a main battle tank, siege engine, or narrative centrepiece. It can represent a frontline assault vehicle, a corrupted relic reclaimed from a forgotten war, or a mobile infestation spreading rot wherever it advances. Its size and visual weight make it ideal for large-scale battles, objective holding, or narrative scenarios where atmosphere and presence matter as much as raw firepower.
The sculpt is dense with organic textures, ruptured armour plates, and mechanical detail, offering painters opportunities to experiment with corrosion, slime effects, and diseased colour transitions. Smooth armour panels contrast with swollen, irregular growths, ensuring the vehicle reads clearly at distance while rewarding close inspection.
Supplied unpainted and unassembled in 29 parts, the Contaminated Battle Tank is perfect for hobbyists looking to add a truly oppressive Diseased Vehicle to their sci-fi tabletop armies.
Painting Guide: Contaminated Battle Tank
Focused on corrosion, organic decay, and diseased contrast.
1. Prime
- Prime black or dark brown to establish deep shadows.
- Optional zenithal grey to help define armour edges.
2. Armour Plates
- Basecoat with dark greens, muted browns, or desaturated greys.
- Sponge lighter tones for chipped and worn effects.
3. Diseased Growths
- Use sickly flesh tones, yellowed bone, or bruised purples.
- Blend lighter highlights on raised areas to suggest swelling.
4. Shading
- Apply thin washes of sepia, green, or purple into recesses.
- Deepen shadows where organic matter meets armour.
5. Highlights and Effects
- Edge highlight armour sparingly to keep a heavy, corroded feel.
- Gloss varnish on select growths enhances a wet, diseased look.
6. Base
- Works well on blasted ground, industrial ruins, or sludge-covered terrain.
- Keep debris low to emphasise the tank’s mass and forward motion.
