This Diseased Sporous Giant is a hulking, rot-bloated monstrosity that towers at 93.6mm from feet to eyes, sculpted in exquisite grimdark detail by DakkaDakka. Every surface of this colossal creature tells a story of corruption and decay, from its bulbous fungal growths erupting across its back to the hollow skulls and chitinous plating that adorn its pestilent form.
The model arrives in 8 separate resin-ready parts, allowing for clean printing and easy assembly. The diseased texture work across the torso, limbs, and the iconic spore-laden mass crowning the creature is truly exceptional, offering painters a rich canvas of organic rot, bone, and corrupted flesh to work with.
Standing as a centerpiece model for any grimdark collection, this giant is ideal for use as a greater daemon proxy, a plague titan, or a boss-level encounter creature in tabletop RPG settings. Its hunched, lumbering pose and outstretched clawed arm convey terrifying momentum, as though the diseased behemoth is mid-charge through a ruined cityscape.
The scenic base features broken pipework, debris, and rubble, grounding this monster firmly in a decayed urban warzone. Whether you are building a corruption-themed warband or a full plague army, the Diseased Sporous Giant serves as an unmistakable focal point that will dominate any battlefield it walks upon.
Painting Guide: Diseased Sporous GiantBringing this diseased colossus to life rewards bold contrast painting, heavy washes, and layered organic tones. Focus on separating the flesh, bone, fungal growths, and chitin into distinct colour zones for maximum visual impact.
1. Prime
- Spray with a grey or bone primer to preserve surface detail across the complex diseased textures
2. Armour Base
- Base the flesh areas in a pale sickly green such as Elysian Green or Castellan Green
- Block in the chitinous plating on the legs and torso with a dark olive or brown base coat
3. Trim and Details
- Paint protruding bones and skull decorations with Ushabti Bone, shading into Agrax Earthshade
- Apply a bright Nurgling Green highlight to raised flesh folds to enhance the bloated look
4. Weapons
- Drybrush the clawed hands and talons with Tyrant Skull or a pale bone to make them pop
- Add subtle rust streaks using Ryza Rust or a stippled Skrag Brown on the tips
5. Weathering
- Wash the entire model heavily with Coelia Greenshade in recesses and Agrax Earthshade on bone areas
- Stipple patches of Typhus Corrosion across the belly and lower limbs for advanced decay effects
6. Bases
- Paint the rubble base in dark grey, drybrush with Administratum Grey, and add patches of Nurgle's Rot technical paint around the feet for a suitably diseased finish
