Painting Guide: Chun Lee Workout Game Line Pin Up Figurine 1/6 ScaleThe following guide will help you bring Chun Lee to life with a vibrant, comic-accurate finish suited to her bold fighting game origins.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or white primer across all parts to reveal surface detail and ensure paint adhesion.
- Use a light zenithal highlight from above with white primer to pre-shade the figure before applying colour.
2. Skin Base
- Base coat exposed skin with a warm mid-tone such as Vallejo Flat Flesh or Citadel Cadian Fleshtone.
- Layer up highlights toward the shoulders, knees, and cheekbones using a lighter flesh mix with white added.
3. Clothing and Trim
- Paint the sports top and briefs with a cool mid-grey, then highlight edges with a lighter grey blend.
- Use a thin white edge highlight on trim lines and waistbands to make the outfit pop against the skin tones.
4. Weapons and Accessories
- Paint the spiked bracers in a dark metallic base such as Citadel Leadbelcher or Vallejo Gunmetal.
- Highlight spike tips with Citadel Stormhost Silver and apply a thin black wash into the recesses for depth.
5. Hair and Ribbons
- Base the hair with pure black, then apply fine highlight lines in dark grey along the strands to add dimension.
- Paint the ribbon accessories in a bright yellow, shading recesses with a brown wash and highlighting with pale yellow.
6. Bases and Final Touches
- Finish the circular display base in a neutral dark tone such as charcoal or gloss black to keep focus on the figure.
- Apply a satin varnish to skin areas and a matte varnish to clothing for a realistic finish contrast.
