A Horse-mounted warrior-priest strides into battle atop a heavily augmented mechanical steed, bearing the weight of holy war across shattered worlds. This single resin miniature is sculpted at 32mm scale and arrives as a physical, pre-printed model with supports already removed, sanded, and cleaned. It is ready to assemble and paint straight from the box.

The figure depicts a towering armoured priest clad in layered battle-plate, adorned with feathered crests, sacred parchments, and reliquary details across every surface. The mechanical Horse beneath him rears up on its hind legs, its augmented frame bristling with pistons, armour plating, and ornate engraving. A flowing cape sweeps dramatically behind the rider, and large angelic wings extend from the mount's back in the variant poses shown. The composition is full of dynamic energy and rich surface detail that rewards careful, patient brushwork. Squad size is one hero-scale character miniature, ideal as a centrepiece or command figure in any grimdark sci-fi warband.

This miniature is supplied unpainted and may require minor assembly with plastic cement or superglue. Acrylic primer is recommended before painting. The level of detail is exceptional and is best appreciated under magnification during the painting process.

Painting Guide: Horse-mounted Battle Priest - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm Scale

The following guide will help you bring this Horse-mounted warrior to life with a striking, battle-worn finish suited to the grimdark aesthetic of the far future.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer across the entire model, ensuring full coverage in recessed areas.
  • Allow to dry fully before handling or painting.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the armour plates in a deep metallic such as Leadbelcher or Vallejo Gunmetal Grey.
  • Apply a secondary basecoat of dark bone or aged ivory to any tabard and parchment elements.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out raised trim, skulls, and reliquary pendants with Retributor Armour or a similar gold tone.
  • Use a fine brush to carefully edge-highlight the armour with Stormhost Silver for a battle-worn gleam.

4. Weapons

  • Paint pistol barrels and mechanical fittings with a dark steel, then drybrush lightly with pure silver.
  • Add heat-staining effects on weapon barrels using thinned purples and blues toward the muzzle.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a dark brown or black wash to all recesses to deepen shadows and enhance surface texture.
  • Add chipping and rust streaks to the Horse's mechanical plating using a sponge or fine detail brush with burnt sienna.

6. Bases

  • Finish the round base with texture paste, small stones, and a dry-brushed highlight of light grey or bone to suggest rubble-strewn ruins.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
