The Asgardian Stormwrath Maidens are a force of legend made flesh, five warrior women forged in the crucible of a dying age where only the mightiest survive. Each maiden is a towering figure of controlled fury, clad in a striking fusion of ancient tribal war-plate and brutal sci-fi hardware. Fur-trimmed skirts and pelts hang from armoured waists, layered over mechanised greaves and articulated leg armour, while exposed torsos bear etched breastplates decorated with wolven and runic iconography. Flowing hair, braids and wild wind-swept locks frame fierce, battle-scarred faces that radiate absolute resolve.

The Asgardian Stormwrath Maidens are built for aggressive close-quarters warfare, descending on enemy lines with the ferocity of a storm front. Their primary weapons are immense powered war-axes, each a unique and imposing design featuring serrated chainblade edges, heavy counterweighted hafts, and brutal industrial construction. Some warriors wield their axes two-handed with sweeping overhead strikes, while others carry them low and ready, daring opponents to advance. One maiden carries a massive arc-whip coiled at her side, a weapon as elegant as it is lethal at close range.

This is a highly modular plastic-resin kit, offering extraordinary build variety across five complete miniatures. The component spread includes nine distinct head sculpts ranging from fierce bare faces to horned helmets and wild braided manes, five torso variants featuring different breastplate engravings, five leg poses conveying dynamic movement and aggression, and a generous arsenal of weapon arm configurations. Every combination produces a distinct and characterful warrior, ensuring no two squads ever look identical.

The kit also includes an optional smaller companion figure, a stocky heavily cloaked warrior with a distinct separate head selection, adding further narrative depth and visual variety to the unit. Whether used as a champion, objective marker or additional squad member, this figure adds real personality to the group.

Supplied as five unpainted, unassembled resin miniatures, the Stormwrath Maidens are a centrepiece-quality kit that will reward both competitive hobbyists and dedicated display painters in equal measure.

Painting Guide: Asgardian Stormwrath Maidens

The Asgardian Stormwrath Maidens lend themselves to a cold, wintry palette that contrasts icy steel armour against warm fur tones and vivid battle-worn metallics.

1. Prime

  • Prime with grey spray such as Mechanicus Standard Grey to preserve mid-tone detail across both the armour and skin surfaces, making subsequent layers more efficient.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat armour plates in Fenrisian Grey or a deep steel blue such as The Fang, building up to Russ Grey on raised surfaces for a cold glacial tone befitting an Asgardian warrior.
  • Edge highlight with Etherium Blue or a thin line of White Scar on the sharpest armour edges to suggest icy reflected light.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint fur pelts and leather straps in warm contrasting tones such as Rhinox Hide built up to Skrag Brown, providing a strong visual counterpoint to the cold steel armour.
  • Wash all recesses with Drakenhof Nightshade on armour and Agrax Earthshade on fur and leather to unify and deepen both surfaces.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat war-axe blades in Leadbelcher, wash with Nuln Oil, then edge highlight with Stormhost Silver along the serrated chainblade teeth and blade faces for a cold hard-edged finish.
  • For the arc-whip, consider a pale energy glow effect along its length using thinned Baharroth Blue fading to white at the tip to suggest crackling electrical charge.

5. Weathering

  • Sponge fine chips and battle damage across armour panels using Abaddon Black followed by Runefang Silver, focusing on knee guards, shoulder edges and axe hafts.
  • Apply pale grey dust pigment to boots and lower greaves, and add thin streaks of Nuln Oil around rivets and joins to suggest long campaigns in harsh frozen terrain.

6. Bases

  • Frozen tundra basing suits these warriors perfectly: grey texture paste drybrushed with Ulthuan Grey and White Scar, with patches of PVA-applied fine snow flock, cracked ice resin puddles, and sparse dead winter grass tufts completing the desolate battlefield aesthetic.
