“He counts his oaths in notches on the chainsword's grip, and the grip has no room left for new ones.”
Asgardian Berserker Lord

The Asgardian Berserker Lord is a single, large-scale 32mm resin miniature that arrives ready to assemble and paint, presenting an unmistakable centrepiece for any warband built around fury, honour, and the relentless spirit of the frozen north. Every surface of this figure commands attention: a colossal chainsword etched with interlocking knotwork is raised mid-stride, the serrated teeth of its blade alive with aggressive purpose, while the warrior's broad power-armoured frame is layered with runic inscriptions, beast-pelt detailing, and ornate pauldrons bearing wolf and lion iconography. The posture is one of absolute aggression, a giant mid-charge across shattered stone ruins carved with ancient Celtic spirals.

The kit ships with multiple interchangeable components, giving you real flexibility over the final build. Two distinct head options are included, one bare and snarling with wild hair catching the wind, one encased in a full combat visor. Additional shoulder pad variants, a flowing rune-bordered cloak piece, and a separate beast-claw arm option allow you to tailor the model's silhouette and personality to suit your warband's aesthetic. All supports have already been removed from the physical resin casting, and the parts have been cleaned and prepared so you can move straight to assembly and undercoating.

Sculpted by Atlan Forge, this miniature carries the same commitment to layered surface storytelling found throughout their wider range, where science-fiction armour plating meets deep mythological ornamentation without either element overwhelming the other. Standing on a generously detailed rubble base with knotwork-engraved flagstones, the finished model reads impressively at table distance and rewards close inspection in equal measure.

The Asgardian Berserker Lord suits any collection themed around warrior brotherhoods, northern legends, or elite shock assault forces, and its scale and drama make it equally at home as a display piece.

Painting Guide: Asgardian Berserker Lord

The palette below leans into cold northern light and aged bronze to complement the model's mythological armour. Work methodically from large surfaces to fine details and allow each layer to dry fully before moving on.

1. Prime

  • Apply a light grey or white spray primer evenly across all assembled parts to capture the deep knotwork recesses.
  • Ensure the undersides of the cloak and pelt areas are fully primed before proceeding.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat the power armour panels in a deep slate blue or cold steel grey using a large flat brush.
  • Apply a second, slightly lighter tone to the raised plate edges to begin building contrast early.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out all knotwork borders, rune etchings, and decorative panels with a warm aged bronze or antique gold.
  • Shade these areas with a dark brown wash to push depth into the recesses and give the metal an ancient, worn character.

4. Weapons

  • Base coat the chainsword blade in a dark iron tone, then dry brush lightly with a bright silver to emphasise the tooth tips and spine ridges.
  • Add a thin line of bright orange or deep red along the inner blade channel to suggest heat or blood, kept subtle for a realistic finish.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple chipped grey or off-white onto armour corners and high-wear areas using a torn piece of blister foam to create natural-looking battle damage.
  • Glaze the lower armour panels and boot areas with a thin earth brown wash to suggest mud and campaign wear.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the flagstone ruins in successive layers of mid-grey, light grey, and a final off-white highlight, then glaze the knotwork carvings with a thin green or brown wash to suggest age and moss.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
