“The horns catch ash instead of frost now, and the oaths carved under the visor plates have gone unread for six years.”
Asgardian Aegis Rangers

The Asgardian Aegis Rangers are a squad of five imposing heavy infantry warriors clad in thick, ceremonial power armour that fuses the raw mythology of ancient Norse warriors with the brutal demands of far-future warfare. Each figure stands broad-shouldered and heavily plated, adorned with horned helms, crested visors, layered pauldrons, and intricate chest iconography that speaks to a warrior culture defined by honour, ferocity, and unyielding resolve. Draped in chain details, angular kneeplates, and relief-carved leg armour, these rangers carry themselves with the weight of a fighting force forged across countless campaigns.

Supplied unpainted.

Every model in the squad wields a distinctive heavy assault rifle, held at the ready in a range of aggressive combat stances that give the unit a sense of kinetic energy and squad-level variety. The weapon designs are angular and purposeful, detailed with vents, sights, and grip hardware that reward close inspection. Shoulder decorations range from carved animal motifs to claw and beast-head reliefs, ensuring each ranger reads as an individual within the broader warband identity. At approximately 32mm scale, the level of surface detail across armour panels, fastenings, and equipment is exceptional throughout.

Sculpted by Atlan Forge, the Asgardian Aegis Rangers arrive as physical resin miniatures with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint. Each model is supplied on a round display base.

This squad is a strong centrepiece unit for any collection built around warrior-elite themes, and works equally well as a display piece or as part of an active wargaming force.

Painting Guide: Asgardian Aegis Rangers

These rangers suit a bold, high-contrast paint scheme inspired by the cold skies and ancient metals of Norse myth. The guide below walks through a recommended approach from prime to finished base.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black primer coat to bring out the deep recesses across the armour panels and weapon details.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat armour plates in a deep steel blue or charcoal grey to suggest cold, tempered metal.
  • Apply a lighter highlight in light blue-grey along raised edges and shoulder plates to add volume and depth.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out raised trim, chains, and iconography in a warm gold or aged bronze to contrast against the cool armour.
  • Apply thin glazes of brown wash into chain links and recessed relief carvings to add shadow and age.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat weapon bodies in dark gunmetal, then drybrush lightly with silver to pick out barrel edges and grip hardware.
  • Add small OSL effects or spot colour to energy vents or lens details using amber or pale blue.

5. Weathering

  • Apply chipping effects with a fine sponge and dark brown-black mix across armour edges and kneeplates.
  • Add streaking grime with thinned brown wash running vertically down leg panels and pauldrons.

6. Bases

  • Texture with grey pumice paste or fine sand, then drybrush in pale stone tones and add tufts of frost-coloured static grass for a cold, tundra battlefield feel.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
