The Amalgamants of The Cosmic Harvester are a set of five grotesque, heavily built warrior figures rendered in high-detail resin, scaled at 28mm from feet to eyes (approximately 32mm to the top of their weapons or horns). Each figure in this squad represents a twisted fusion of organic muscle, scavenged armour plating, and alien biology, drawn together by some vast and unknowable cosmic force. Their hunched postures, elongated claws, and mismatched weaponry tell the story of warriors remade against their will into instruments of destruction.
This set contains five individual models, each in a unique pose and loadout. Weapons across the squad include a large warhammer, a broad-bladed halberd, a spiked flail, and vicious natural claws on the more bestial figures. One figure carries a mechanical armoured fist alongside savage organic limbs, suggesting a creature that has absorbed technology as readily as flesh. The sculpt quality is exceptional, with deeply defined musculature, textured surfaces on cloth wrappings, and sharp detail on every spike and rivet.
Every physical miniature arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly where applicable and painting. These resin figures are designed for adult hobbyists who want characterful, grimdark sci-fi models for skirmish wargames, kill teams, or display collections. The Amalgamants of The Cosmic Harvester will stand out on any battlefield or shelf.
This squad suits players who love mutant warbands, corrupted warrior factions, or alien hybrid forces. Their scale is compatible with most 28-32mm wargaming systems.
Painting Guide: Amalgamants of The Cosmic HarvesterThese figures reward a dark, grimy palette. The mix of organic flesh, ragged cloth, and heavy metal armour gives you plenty of variety to work with across the squad.
1. Prime
- Apply a black or dark grey spray primer evenly across all surfaces.
- Follow with a zenithal dusting of white or light grey from above to define highlights before painting begins.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour panels with a dark iron or gunmetal grey, such as Leadbelcher or Iron Warriors equivalent.
- Work mechanical arms and plating with a slightly lighter metallic to differentiate them from worn armour sections.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out rivets, buckles, and rope bindings with a warm brown such as Rhinox Hide or Doombull Brown.
- Add spot colours to skulls or bone trophies using off-white, then wash with a sepia tone.
4. Weapons
- Paint hammer and axe heads with a dark steel, then drybrush a bright silver across edges for a used, battle-worn look.
- Claws and organic blades work well in bone white with a green or purple wash pooled into the recesses.
5. Weathering
- Apply a heavy wash of Agrax Earthshade or equivalent brown-black over all metallic areas.
- Use a sponge to stipple rust tones onto armour edges and chips for a corroded, neglected appearance.
6. Bases
- Texture paste in dark grey or brown suits a desolate wasteland or alien terrain theme.
- Add small patches of tufted dead grass or OSL glow effects around feet to tie the squad together visually.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
