Every gang member worth their salt knows the underhive runs on muscle and contraband, and the Alcat Mules Squad delivers both in abundance. These three resin miniatures from DakkaDakka are sculpted at 40mm from feet to eyes, capturing the hunched, over-laden silhouettes of carriers who haul everything from ammunition crates to illicit goods through the darkest corridors of a collapsed industrial sprawl.
Each figure in the squad is wrapped in heavy cloaks, respirator masks, and layered field gear, evoking the grim pragmatism of those who survive not through glory but through sheer tenacity. Bayonet-tipped rifles, bulging kit bags, and weathered fatigues tell the story of a gang member who has endured countless firefights in the toxic dark. Small narrative details like a rat perched atop a backpack reward close inspection and make each model a storytelling piece in its own right.
The sculpts are clean with crisp surface detail, making them excellent for both confident painters and those newer to the hobby. Dynamic poses vary across the three figures, giving the squad visual variety on the tabletop. Whether used in a skirmish campaign, a narrative scenario, or as objective markers representing stolen cargo, this trio adds immediate character to any underhive warband or gang roster.
Supplied as unassembled, unpainted resin renders ready for printing or casting. Bases shown in product images are included for scale reference. Each gang member stands approximately 40mm tall from foot to eye level, fitting comfortably on a 32mm or 40mm round base.
Painting Guide: Alcat Mules SquadBring these grimdark carriers to life with a palette rooted in industrial decay and toxic underhive atmosphere. This guide suits any gang member aesthetic ranging from ragged street crew to hardened smuggler outfit.
1. Prime
- Prime with a neutral grey or black spray for maximum shadow depth across the heavy cloak folds
2. Armour Base
- Base coat armour panels in a dark olive or worn leather tone to suggest salvaged kit
- Apply a deep brown or khaki to all fabric and cloak areas, keeping the palette muted and grimy
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out straps, buckles, and pouches in a warm tan or rust brown to add layered depth
- Use a desaturated bone or cream on bandaging and worn cloth edges for contrast
4. Weapons
- Basecoat rifles and blades in a dark gunmetal, then drybrush with silver to bring out barrel and edge detail
- Add a thin rust wash around joints and magazine housings to reinforce a worn, well-used look befitting every gang member in the squad
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown or black wash across the entire model, allowing it to pool in recesses and cloak folds
- Stipple chipping fluid or sponge dark grey onto armour edges for battle-worn scuffing
6. Bases
- Texture paste in dark grey, drybrushed silver and highlighted with a toxic green or yellow oil wash, sells the underhive industrial ground perfectly
