Aeloria the Rooted stands as a commanding presence on the battlefield, a solitary Human Shaman whose mastery over ancient, primal forces makes her a formidable addition to any warband or display collection. This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. The sculpt captures her in a moment of raw mystical power, arms outstretched with root-like tendrils branching from her fingers, long braided hair caught in an unseen wind, and layered robes and chain-link belt draped across a powerful stance. Standing approximately 32mm to eye level, she is designed for 28-32mm scale wargaming and display.

The detail work on Aeloria the Rooted is exceptional throughout. Her torso features a woven breastplate with a crescent moon pendant, intricate tattooed markings running down her arms, and a tiered skirt flowing behind her into a dramatic rear silhouette. The rocky rubble base she stands upon adds narrative weight to the piece, suggesting a wilderness terrain setting where ancient ley lines fracture the ground beneath her feet. Two views are shown front and rear, both demonstrating the sculpt's depth and the clean resin casting quality.

This miniature is sold as a single character model on a 40mm scenic round base. Sculpted by Haito, she suits roles as a shaman, druid, witch, or elemental caster within skirmish games, roleplay campaigns, or competitive wargaming forces. The clean resin casting holds fine surface textures well and takes primer and paint without additional preparation beyond a quick wash in soapy water.

Whether you are building a themed warband rooted in nature and wilderness lore or seeking a striking centrepiece for your display shelf, this piece rewards careful painting and patient layering techniques.

Painting Guide: Aeloria the Rooted - Human Shaman

The following guide will help you bring Aeloria the Rooted to life with a weathered, earthy palette suited to her wilderness shaman aesthetic. Thin your paints and work in layers for best results.

1. Prime

  • Use a grey or bone-coloured zenithal prime to pre-shade the model and define the natural lighting from above.
  • A light spray of white from directly overhead after the grey base adds instant depth to raised surfaces.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat the woven breastplate and belt fittings in a warm brown such as Rhinox Hide, then drybrush with Mournfang Brown to pick out the texture.
  • Highlight raised edges of the belt plates and chain links with Skullcrusher Brass for an aged bronze look.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint the crescent moon pendant in Retributor Armour gold, wash with Agrax Earthshade, and edge highlight with Liberator Gold.
  • Pick out the tattoo markings with a fine liner brush in Drakenhof Nightshade thinned heavily, letting it pool slightly into the recessed lines.

4. Weapons

  • The root-branch finger extensions work well in Dryad Bark as a base, drybrushed with Karak Stone and tipped with Screaming Skull for a bleached wood effect.
  • Add a subtle OSL glow at the fingertips using thin glazes of Hexwraith Flame or a pale green to imply channelled energy.

5. Weathering

  • Use a stippled application of Typhus Corrosion on the lower hem of the skirt and around the base of the chain links to suggest dirt and wear from travel.
  • A light drybrush of Wraithbone across the flowing robes adds worn fabric texture and ties the overall palette together.

6. Bases

  • Paint the rocky rubble base in Mechanicus Standard Grey, wash with Nuln Oil, drybrush Administratum Grey, and finish with scattered static grass or fine moss tufts for a wilderness feel.
