The 2nd Death Division Command Squad arrives as a set of physical resin miniatures, supports already removed and ready to assemble and paint. Sculpted by DakkaDakka, this build kit gives you five armoured trooper bodies paired with 17 interchangeable weapon hands and arms, totalling 22 unique parts. Each figure stands 30mm from feet to eyes, making them compatible with most popular 28-32mm grimdark sci-fi wargaming systems. The soldiers wear long greatcoats, layered flak armour, and sealed respirator helmets that evoke a hardened, authoritarian aesthetic straight from the grim far future.
The modular design of the 2nd Death Division Command Squad means you can arm your troopers exactly as your battlefield doctrine demands. Weapon options include laspistols, stub revolvers, combat blades, a power sword, a shovel, and a vicious-looking chainsword, among others. Whether you need a pistol-wielding officer striding forward or a crouching trooper bracing a long-arm, the parts mix and match freely across all five bodies. Resin captures fine surface detail cleanly, so every strap, buckle, and visor lens reads sharply at tabletop scale.
Each kit contains: 5 armoured infantry bodies, 17 hand and weapon options, and 22 total parts. Oval and square bases are shown in the product photography but are not included. Standard 25mm or 32mm round bases are recommended for compatibility with most rulesets. Supplied unpainted and unassembled. Plastic-compatible super glue or thin cyanoacrylate is recommended for assembly.
Whether you are building a command squad for narrative play or a competitive matched-play army, the 2nd Death Division Command Squad gives you the raw material to field a visually cohesive and tactically flexible elite unit. Parts are cast in grey hobby resin and ship securely packed.
Painting Guide: 2nd Death Division Command Squad Build Kit - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesThe palette below leans into a cold, authoritarian colour scheme that suits the aesthetic of the 2nd Death Division Command Squad. Adjust freely to match your existing force colours.
1. Prime
- Spray with a black or dark grey primer to preserve fine surface detail and provide strong adhesion for subsequent layers.
- A zenithal highlight with light grey over the black prime helps map light and shadow before any colour is applied.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a flat dark grey or uniform grey across all armour plates and the greatcoat.
- Wash the whole model with a dark blue-black shade to settle into the recesses and add depth to the folds of the coat.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out straps, buckles, and pouches in a desaturated tan or leather brown to break up the grey.
- Highlight armour edges with a lighter grey or off-white to define the silhouette at arm's length.
4. Weapons
- Base pistols and rifles in a dark metallic such as gunmetal or dark steel.
- Apply a black wash over all metal areas, then drybrush lightly with bright silver on raised edges for a worn, field-used look.
5. Weathering
- Stipple diluted brown or rust tone around boot cuffs and lower coat hem to suggest mud and prolonged campaign wear.
- Add small scratches to armour plates by dragging the corner of a sponge loaded with dark metal paint across highlight edges.
6. Bases
- Apply texture paste or fine grit in a muddy brown, drybrush with a light stone colour, and finish with a few tufts of dead grass to complete the desolate warzone setting.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
