The 2nd Death Division Calvary Squad brings five imposing mounted warriors to your grimdark sci-fi battlefield, each rider clad in heavy segmented armour and fitted with a sinister gas mask respirator that marks them as elite shock troopers of a ruthless regime. This physical resin miniature set arrives already printed, with supports removed and surfaces cleaned, ready for assembly and painting straight from the box.

Each of the five cavalry models in this 2nd Death Division Calvary Squad is sculpted in a distinct dynamic pose, ranging from a disciplined advance to a rearing charge. Riders carry lances, swords and sidearms, with pouches, straps and insignia adding battlefield authenticity to every figure. The horses are equally detailed, with barded heads and muscular forms conveying raw momentum. Miniatures measure approximately 42mm from feet to eyes, placing them comfortably alongside standard 28mm to 32mm scale infantry on any wargaming table.

Cast in high-detail grey resin, these figures hold fine surface detail cleanly across armour panels, buckles, weapon blades and facial respirators. Five unique sculpts mean no two riders in your squad look identical, giving the unit visual variety and narrative weight on the tabletop. The 2nd Death Division Calvary Squad is an ideal centrepiece unit for any sci-fi or grimdark wargaming force that values shock cavalry with a brutal aesthetic.

Each model is supplied unpainted and may require minor assembly with plastic-compatible super glue. Bases are included as shown.

Painting Guide: 2nd Death Division Calvary Squad x 5 - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures

This guide will help you achieve a grim, battle-worn finish worthy of the 2nd Death Division Calvary Squad, using standard hobby acrylics and washes.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black spray primer in thin, even coats to seal the resin and provide tooth for subsequent layers.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat armour panels in a dark iron grey or cold gunmetal to establish the heavy industrial aesthetic.
  • Paint the horses in a pale grey or dun tone, keeping them distinct from the dark rider armour.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out straps, buckles and pouches in dark brown leather tones for contrast against the metal armour.
  • Paint respirator lenses in a deep amber or blood red to add a sinister focal point to each rider.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat lance shafts in dark wood or gunmetal depending on your preferred aesthetic.
  • Highlight blade edges with a bright silver to suggest a honed, deadly finish.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a dark brown or black oil wash across all surfaces to deepen recesses and tie the palette together.
  • Drybrush raised armour edges lightly with a pale silver to simulate battle wear and field use.

6. Bases

  • Texture the round bases with a mix of fine sand and PVA, then paint in dark earth tones. Add a sparse static grass or ash grey flock to complete the bleak battlefield setting.
