Forgotten Champions rise from the dust of broken civilisations, and Zarka Oakbreaker stands as one of their most ferocious. This high-detail 32mm resin miniature depicts a battle-hardened human archer, her wild braided mane cascading over spiked shoulder armour as she leans against a shattered stone pillar. Sculpted by Haito, every muscle, wrap, and feral adornment tells the story of a survivor forged in brutality.

Zarka carries a curved bow at her side, arrows scattered at her feet like a warning left for those who came before. Her fur-wrapped greaves, spiked gauntlets, and minimal armour reflect a warrior who trusts raw power over protection. The base captures cracked, unforgiving terrain, giving the model an immediate battlefield presence the moment it hits your tabletop.

Designed for collectors and skirmish gamers who want Forgotten Champions with genuine character, Zarka Oakbreaker is equally at home leading a warband or standing as a centrepiece on display. The sculpt ships unpainted and unassembled, supplied with a round display base.

Whether you are building a savage warband or hunting the perfect character model, Zarka delivers the raw, untamed energy that defines the Forgotten Champions range. Sculpted by Haito with exceptional anatomical precision and barbarian-inspired detailing, she is a model worth every hour at the painting desk.

Painting Guide: Zarka Oakbreaker - Human Archer

This guide walks you through a grimdark barbarian palette that brings out the savage detail Haito has packed into every surface of this Forgotten Champions miniature.

1. Prime

  • Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and bone white from above to establish instant depth across the braids, musculature, and base rubble.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the spiked gauntlets and shoulder guards with dark leather brown, then layer up with a warm tan highlight.
  • Apply a dark sepia wash into all recesses to push grime and shadow deep into the spiked details.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint the braided hair with a mid-brown base, then drybrush progressively lighter blondes toward the tips for sun-bleached contrast.
  • Pick out the fur wraps on the greaves with an off-white, shaded with thin grey washes for a matted, worn texture.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the bow and arrow shafts in aged wood tones, using a dark brown wash followed by fine grain highlights along the edges.
  • Metallic tips on the arrows can be done in a desaturated gunmetal, finished with a rust-effect stipple using a torn sponge and orange-brown paint.

5. Weathering

  • Apply chipping effects to the armour edges using a small sponge and dark brown to simulate battle damage across the gauntlets and shoulder spikes.
  • Add streaking grime down the stone pillar using thinned dark grey in long vertical lines to sell the age and decay of the environment.

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the cracked rocky base with successive layers of grey, light stone, and a final bone-white edge highlight, then add tufts of dry grass for a desolate wasteland feel.
