The Wai Toa Delugers are a squad of five heavily armoured sci-fi warriors, each clad in thick, riveted power armour and armed with oversized ranged weapons built for suppressing fire at close and mid range. These physical resin miniatures arrive supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint at 32mm scale.
Sculpted with exceptional detail, each of the five troopers in the squad features a unique pose and weapon configuration, giving your warband a dynamic, battlefield-ready appearance. The armour panels are decorated with angular geometric markings and layered plating, and the helmet designs vary across the squad to add visual variety on the tabletop. The chunky, aggressive silhouettes of the Wai Toa Delugers make them stand out among any collection of grimdark sci-fi forces.
The kit includes a modular set of components covering five head variants, multiple shoulder pad options, three torso styles, leg variants, and two weapon configurations. This gives hobbyists a range of assembly choices to personalise their squad. The resin material holds fine detail well, making layered painting and washes very effective on these models.
Whether you are expanding an existing force or building a new warband, the Wai Toa Delugers deliver presence and character on the battlefield. Each miniature is cast in high quality grey resin, supplied unassembled and unpainted, ready for your chosen colour scheme.
Painting Guide: Wai Toa Delugers - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm ScaleThe angular armour panels and deep recesses of these models respond very well to contrast-style painting and traditional layering alike. The guide below is a recommended approach for a battle-worn industrial look.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black zenithal prime using spray or airbrush to establish light and shadow before any colour is applied.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the armour panels in a deep slate blue or dark green using a flat brush or airbrush for smooth coverage.
- Apply a second highlight pass of a lighter tone along raised edges and panel corners to pick out the sculpted detail.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint rivets, trim lines, and decorative markings in a dark bronze or aged silver to contrast against the armour colour.
- Pick out the geometric engravings with a thin highlight of pale bone or off-white to bring the surface decoration forward.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat weapon bodies in gunmetal or dark iron, then drybrush lightly with silver to bring out the mechanical texture.
- Add heat staining near barrels using a light glaze of purple followed by amber to suggest heavy use in the field.
5. Weathering
- Apply a brown or dark grey pin wash into all recesses, letting it pool naturally to add depth to the armour panels.
- Use a torn sponge or dry stippling brush with a dark rust colour to add chipping and battle damage across armour edges.
6. Bases
- Texture paste in a slate or rubble style suits the industrial aesthetic, painted charcoal grey and drybrushed with pale stone before applying a matte varnish to the whole model.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
