Forgotten Champions brings you Veyra, a Human Necromancer who stalks the battlefield with cold purpose and ancient power. Barefoot upon cracked stone, she holds aloft a chained skull pulsing with dark energy while a heavy sword rests across her back, ready for those who survive her curses long enough to face steel.
Sculpted by Haito, this 32mm scale resin miniature captures every detail of a spellcaster on the edge of sanity and power. Her hooded cloak billows behind her as if caught in a supernatural wind, her expression one of absolute dominion over life and death. The chain links, the skull focal piece, and the ornate sword pommel are all rendered with exceptional clarity for painters of every level.
This Forgotten Champions release stands as a versatile choice for any tabletop warband that reveres shadow magic, bone lore, or forbidden arcane arts. Whether she leads a cadre of risen warriors or operates as a lone dark agent, Veyra commands presence on any gaming table.
Supplied as a single unpainted resin miniature on a detailed cracked-earth base. Suitable for 28mm to 32mm scale skirmish and roleplaying games. Resin may require light cleaning and thin primer before painting. Sculptor: Haito. Squad size: 1.
Painting Guide: Veyra - Human NecromancerThis guide will help you bring Veyra to life as a menacing dark arts practitioner worthy of the Forgotten Champions roster. Work in thin layers and allow each stage to fully cure before moving on.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black zenithal prime to establish natural shadow and highlight zones across the cloak, skull, and bare skin.
2. Armour Base
- Paint the cloak and robes in a deep charcoal or desaturated purple base coat.
- Apply a second thin layer of muted violet over raised fabric folds to begin building volume.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint the skull and chain links in aged bone tones, starting with a mid brown and layering up to off-white at peaks.
- Add a faint green or sickly yellow glaze over the skull to suggest necromantic energy radiating from within.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the sword blade in dark steel using a cold grey mixed with a touch of blue.
- Highlight the blade edge with pure silver and add a thin rust wash along the fuller to suggest a weapon long carried and rarely cleaned.
5. Weathering
- Apply a diluted dark brown wash across the entire model to unify tones and deepen recesses.
- Use a sponge or stipple brush to add subtle wear marks to the cloak hem and skin areas exposed to the elements.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the cracked earth base in light stone tones, add a spot of dead grass tufts and a thin black rim to complete this Forgotten Champions centrepiece.
