Forgotten Champions rise from the ash and ruin of shattered kingdoms, and Vaessa Iron Verdict stands at the vanguard of their cause. A mercenary paladin forged in conflict, she wields her ornate warhammer with the fury of divine conviction and the cold pragmatism of a soldier who has seen too many wars end badly. She answers to coin and conscience in equal measure, and her loyalty is absolute once earned.
This resin miniature by sculptor Haito captures Vaessa mid-stride across crumbling stone steps, one arm outstretched and hammer swinging low in a devastating arc. Her armour fuses ceremonial plate with field-worn leather, etched with devotional patterns that hint at forgotten oaths. The sculpt rewards careful painters with layered textures across chainmail, engraved metal, flowing hair and a richly detailed cloak reverse.
Vaessa Iron Verdict is sold as a single model on a scenic stepped stone base. Designed at tabletop scale, she fits seamlessly into skirmish games, narrative campaigns or display collections. Faction-neutral and mercenary in spirit, she slots into any warband that needs a warrior of iron faith and harder knuckles.
Supplied as a high-detail resin kit requiring assembly, cleaning and priming. Suitable for ages 15 and above. Contains small parts. Not a toy.
Painting Guide: Vaessa Iron Verdict - Human PaladinThis guide helps you bring a Forgotten Champions aesthetic to Vaessa, blending ceremonial gold with battered campaign grime for a paladin who earns her divinity on the battlefield.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin even coat of grey or bone primer to preserve surface detail across the fine engravings and hair strands
2. Armour Base
- Block in the plate armour with a warm off-white or aged ivory to suggest well-kept but ancient steel
- Layer the leather sections with a deep brown, keeping it darker in recessed areas for natural contrast
3. Trim and Details
- Paint all etched trim and devotional patterns with a tarnished gold, then wash with a strong brown shade to settle into the engravings
- Highlight raised edges with bright gold or a warm silver to pull the detail forward
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the warhammer head in dark iron grey, then drybrush with chainmail silver to capture surface wear
- Paint the handle wrap in a contrast leather tone and add subtle gold rune-work to the hammer face matching the armour trim
5. Weathering
- Apply thinned burnt sienna around boot soles, base edges and lower armour plates to suggest dust and dried blood from a Forgotten Champions warzone
- Stipple chipped paint effects on pauldrons using a sponge and dark grey before adding a bright silver scratch highlight
6. Bases
- Drybrush the stepped stone base with light grey and bone, then add a thin brown wash to fill cracks; finish with a few tufts of dead grass for a ruined courtyard feel
