This Trench Crusade style Inquisitor is a physical resin miniature supplied ready to assemble and paint, cast in high-detail resin with supports already removed and cleaned. Standing on a 32mm base, this imposing figure commands the battlefield with its towering conical helm, billowing cloak, and skull-topped staff bearing a holy cross. Every fold of cloth, every plate of armour, and every grim ornament has been sculpted with the kind of fine detail that rewards careful brushwork and brings grimdark horror to life on the tabletop.

The Inquisitor cuts an unmistakable silhouette. Robes sweep dramatically behind the figure, layered over heavy armoured shoulders, while the elongated pointed helm gives the model an air of fanatical menace. A weathered cloak fans out at the base, adding weight and drama to the pose. This is a model that works equally well as a centrepiece character or a force commander in any dark gothic warband.

Sculpted for fans of bleak, war-torn, theological horror aesthetics, this Trench Crusade style release captures the grim devotion of a battlefield zealot. The 32mm base size makes it compatible with a wide range of popular skirmish and warband rulesets.

Single model supplied unpainted. Assembly may be required depending on final piece count. Plastic or cyanoacrylate glue recommended. Primer recommended before painting.

Painting Guide: Trench Crusade style - Inquisitor

This guide is written to help you achieve a grim, battle-worn finish suited to the Trench Crusade style aesthetic. Muted tones, heavy shading, and careful highlights will bring the most out of this detailed sculpt.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer across all surfaces. Grey primer works well for picking out mid-tone cloth, while black primer deepens recesses naturally.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat all armoured plates with a dark iron or gunmetal grey. A cold, desaturated tone reads well against the robes.
  • Apply a dark brown or black wash into all recesses to define the armour panels and add instant depth.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out any trim, cross motifs, or raised symbols with a pale gold or aged brass for a worn ceremonial feel.
  • Highlight raised edges of trim with a lighter gold or silver to suggest polished wear on a battered relic.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the skull atop the staff with bone white, then glaze with a thin sepia wash to age it convincingly.
  • The staff shaft suits a dark wood or aged iron finish. Drybrush lightly with a lighter grey or cream to suggest wear and grime.

5. Weathering

  • Apply chipping effects to armour using a small torn sponge dipped in dark brown, then silver, to simulate battle damage.
  • Add streaks of rust using thin orange-brown glazes on armour edges and beneath the skull detail for a corroded field relic look.

6. Bases

  • Texture paste or fine sand in dark grey suits a ruined trench or blasted earth theme. Finish with a dark brown wash and drybrush with pale stone for a bleak battlefield setting.
