Tiamat rises from the rocky spire in this stunning single-model resin miniature, sculpted with ferocious detail and ready to dominate any fantasy RPG encounter or display shelf. Every scale, claw, and fang has been rendered with extraordinary precision, capturing the terrifying presence of a great winged dragon lord in mid-roar. This is a single large centrepiece figure, supplied as a physical resin cast with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned and sanded where needed.
The miniature stands perched atop a detailed rocky outcrop base, wings fully spread, jaws open and teeth bared. The sculpt captures motion and menace from every angle, making it an ideal boss encounter piece, campaign centrepiece, or collector's display model. The level of surface texture across the scales, wing membranes, and stone base is exceptional, giving painters a rich landscape of detail to work with at every skill level.
Tiamat is presented in high-quality grey resin, unpainted and ready for your brush. The model is approximately 70mm to 80mm tall at the head, with a wingspan that extends well beyond the base. Assembly may be required for the wings depending on how the model is supplied. Superglue is recommended for joining any separate parts.
Whether you are building a display piece or arming your game table with a legendary threat, this model delivers the kind of commanding presence that elevates any collection. Tiamat is a centrepiece worth the effort.
Painting Guide: Tiamat - Fantasy RPG Miniatures,This guide walks you through a dramatic, dark fantasy paint scheme suited to the scale and detail of this imposing dragon miniature.
1. Prime
- Apply a black or dark grey spray primer evenly across all surfaces, including the underside of the wings and the base.
- Allow to cure fully before applying any paint.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the scales with a deep jewel tone such as dark green, purple, or crimson depending on your preferred chromatic scheme.
- Apply a second thin coat to build even, opaque coverage across the body and tail.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the horns, claws, and teeth with an off-white or bone colour, then shade with a diluted brown wash.
- Highlight raised edges of the horns and claws with pure white or cream for a worn, aged look.
4. Weapons
- Paint the wing membranes with a translucent glaze over a mid-tone base to give them a leathery, semi-transparent appearance.
- Drybrush the wing edges with a lighter tone to separate them from the body.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown or black oil wash across all recesses to deepen shadows and bring out the sculpted surface texture.
- Drybrush the raised scales lightly with a metallic or bright highlight tone to simulate worn, battle-scarred hide.
6. Bases
- Paint the rocky outcrop with dark grey, wash with black, then drybrush with mid-grey and light grey in successive layers for a realistic stone finish.
- Add tufts, moss effects, or lava texture paste to tie the base into your existing terrain collection.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
