Templar Bikers are a squad of three heavily armoured, mounted sci-fi warriors riding brutal, oversized war bikes into the heat of battle. Each rider wears thick power armour adorned with crusader iconography, spiked pauldrons, and ornate chest plates bearing the iron cross. The bikes themselves are imposing machines, fitted with front-mounted cannons, studded tyres, and heavily armoured fairings decorated with crusader crosses and gothic detailing. These Templar Bikers arrive as physical resin miniatures with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint.
This squad of three is produced by Atlan Forge and sculpted with exceptional detail throughout. Every rivet, chain link, and armour panel is crisply defined. The riders carry bolt weapons and sidearms, and the bikes feature twin gun mounts on the nose. Models are approximately 40mm scale and are supplied on oval bases. Whether you are expanding a crusader-themed force or building a fast attack unit for your grimdark sci-fi army, these Templar Bikers deliver commanding table presence and outstanding detail.
As physical resin miniatures, these models require standard hobby assembly using cyanoacrylate glue. A small amount of gap filling may be needed at join points. Light sanding of any mould lines before priming will give the best results. These are collector-grade pieces intended for experienced hobbyists who enjoy painting and assembling detailed wargaming miniatures.
Painting Guide: Templar Bikers - Mounted Sci-Fi WarriorsThe following guide is designed to help you bring your Templar Bikers to life on the tabletop with a battle-worn crusader aesthetic, blending ceremonial grandeur with the grime of endless war.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or white primer to all surfaces, ensuring recesses are fully covered.
- Allow to cure fully before moving to base coats.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a flat black or dark grey base coat to the power armour panels for a classic crusader scheme.
- Alternatively, use bone white or ivory for a veteran templar look, building up in thin layers for smooth coverage.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint all crosses, trim, and iconography in gold or brass using a mid-tone metallic, then shade with a brown or sepia wash.
- Pick out chains, purity seals, and studded details in contrasting colours such as red wax and parchment.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat gun barrels and weapon housings in a dark metal such as gunmetal grey.
- Drybrush with a bright silver to bring out raised edges and mechanical detail on the cannon mounts.
5. Weathering
- Apply a thin oil or acrylic wash over the entire model to settle into recesses and add depth.
- Stipple chipped paint effects on armour edges using a sponge or fine brush with a dark brown and silver combination.
6. Bases
- Texture the oval bases with a volcanic or ash wasteland paste to match the infernal battlefield aesthetic of the sculpt artwork.
- Finish with a matte varnish across the entire model to protect paintwork and reduce shine.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
