Sythara is a formidable 75mm resin figurine designed for collectors and painters who demand exceptional detail in their grimdark sci-fi fantasy projects. This physical miniature arrives already printed, with supports removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can move straight to assembly and painting. The sculpt depicts a battle-hardened warrior clad in ornate power armour, adorned with skulls, spiked trim, and bone trophies mounted on a towering cross-frame backpiece. She carries a massive serrated chain-axe, conveying relentless aggression and dark purpose.
Standing at 75mm scale, every surface rewards close inspection. The layered armour plates, flowing tattered skirt, and spiked greaves are packed with texture. The skull motifs across the pauldrons, chest, and weapon communicate a warrior devoted to death and domination. The scenic round base completes the presentation and gives you a solid platform for basing work.
Sythara is a single-character release, sold as one figurine per unit. She suits display cabinets, competitive painting entries, and narrative wargaming alike. The 75mm scale offers generous surface area, making her ideal for intermediate and advanced painters who want to explore blending, NMM, and object source lighting techniques.
This physical resin miniature ships ready to assemble and paint. No digital files or printing equipment are required on your end.
Painting Guide: Sythara, Figurine 75mm, Sci-Fi FantasyThe following guide is designed to help you bring Sythara to life with a grimdark palette that honours the skull-covered, war-worn aesthetic of the sculpt.
1. Prime
- Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and grey or white from above to establish natural light and shadow before any colour is added.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the armour plates in a deep charcoal or dark steel tone, such as Corvus Black or Dark Reaper.
- Layer up with a mid-grey highlight on raised edges to begin defining the hard angles of each plate.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint the trim and skull decorations in a tarnished gold or bronze, such as Gehenna's Gold, then wash with Agrax Earthshade for depth.
- Drybrush lightly with Runefang Steel on the highest points of the skulls to pick out cheekbones and eye sockets.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the chain-axe shaft in dark gunmetal and apply a targeted wash of Nuln Oil to settle into the mechanical recesses.
- Edge highlight the blade teeth and axe face with a bright silver, then add a thin glaze of green or orange to suggest heat or corrosion.
5. Weathering
- Stipple chipping effects onto the armour using a torn blister pack sponge and dark brown, then add a secondary highlight of silver above each chip to sell the damage.
- Apply a thinned brown-black wash around the feet and lower skirt panels to suggest battlefield grime and dried blood.
6. Bases
- Texture the base with a mix of coarse ballast and PVA, paint it in dark earth tones, and finish with tufts or ash-coloured static grass to reinforce the desolate battlefield setting.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
