The Steel Union Cleric Miniature arrives as a single beautifully detailed physical resin figure, cast and cleaned ready for you to assemble and paint. Standing 30mm from feet to eyes, the Ecclesiastical Envoy cuts an imposing figure in flowing robes and a deep hood, clutching a skull-topped ceremonial staff adorned with candles and a grim crosspiece. In his other hand he carries an unfurled scroll, its edges curling as though freshly retrieved from a forbidden archive. Stacked tomes, a melted candle cluster, a bare skull, and a broken column fragment surround him on a detailed cobblestone round base, giving the piece a scene-quality weight that makes it as striking on a shelf as it is on a tabletop.
This Steel Union Cleric Miniature comes in 6 individual parts: the main figure, the ornate staff, the scroll arm, the stacked books with candle accessory, the broken column piece, and the cobblestone base. Assembly is straightforward and supports have already been removed, so the model ships ready for primer. The back of the cloak features a bold winged emblem, reinforcing the character's affiliation with an iron-fisted ecclesiastical order operating in a grimdark future setting.
Sculpted by DakkaDakka, this figure suits collectors and competitive players alike. It works perfectly as a battle-priest, inquisitor, or lore-keeper for skirmish or large-scale wargaming systems. The resin captures every fine surface detail including bead chains, skull motifs, buckled straps, and runic inscriptions on the tomes.
Each unit is a physical resin miniature produced to a high hobby standard. Supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue and paint sold separately.
Painting Guide: Steel Union Cleric Miniature - Ecclesiastical EnvoyThe following guide is aimed at intermediate painters who want to bring this Steel Union Cleric Miniature to life with a grim, worn, and authoritative palette suited to a militant religious order.
1. Prime
- Clean the parts with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry fully before priming.
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer. Grey primer works well if you plan to use lighter robe colours.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the layered armour plates with a dark steel tone such as Leadbelcher or Iron Breaker thinned slightly with medium.
- Apply a second, lighter pass to raised areas only, building a subtle gradient before shading.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint the robe in a deep off-white or pale bone tone, building up from a mid-grey base in thin layers to avoid obscuring the fabric folds.
- Pick out skull motifs, candles, and bead chains in warm ivory, then glaze with a diluted sepia wash to unify and shade in one pass.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the staff shaft in a dark walnut brown and drybrush lightly with a lighter wood tone to catch the grain texture.
- Paint the crosspiece and skull topper in aged bone, then wash with a brown shade and edge-highlight the brow ridges in pale ivory.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown pin wash into recesses of the armour plates and around the belt buckle to add depth and age.
- Stipple a very thin mix of dark grey and brown onto the lower robe hem to suggest dust and grime from long travel across ruined terrain.
6. Bases
- Drybrush the cobblestone base with mid-grey followed by a light cream highlight on the raised stone edges, then apply a dark brown wash into the gaps.
- Paint the stacked tomes in contrasting dark leather tones and add fine script lines with a size 0 brush for a worn manuscript effect.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
