Couldn't load pickup availability
The Squire Rangermech Fightermech arrives as a single physical resin miniature standing approximately 112.5mm tall, cast in clean grey resin with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight from the box. Comprising 40 individual parts, this walker-class war machine cuts an imposing silhouette on the battlefield, with a hunched armoured carapace, articulated digitigrade legs, and a swept cockpit housing topped by a pintle-mounted sensor turret.
Supplied unpainted.
The kit includes a generous spread of interchangeable weapon options so you can tailor your loadout before you prime. Arm choices include a heavy rotary cannon, a triple-barrelled thermal lance, a large circular saw assembly, and a paired autocannon mount, alongside a close-combat blade arm for melee-focused builds. A heraldic kite shield attaches to the forearm, and two additional decorative shield variants are included for personalisation. The chassis footprint measures 88mm across and 66mm deep at its widest stance, making it a formidable centrepiece unit on a standard wargaming table.
Sculpted by DakkaDakka, the Rangermech is packed with surface detail across every panel: riveted armour plates, looping hydraulic hoses, exposed gear housings, venting grilles, and a rear carapace hatch marked with a skull motif. The legs show layered pistons and joint guards, and the feet sit on wide flat pads that accept most standard basing materials without modification.
The model measures approximately 112.5mm to the top of the sensor turret, 88mm at base width, and 66mm front to back. All parts are supplied unassembled, giving you full control over pose and weapon configuration before you commit to glue.
Painting Guide: Squire Rangermech FightermechThe Rangermech suits a range of painting approaches, from quick tabletop-ready results to display-level finishes. The guide below follows the deep green and burnished brass scheme shown in the preview images, with glowing orange heat vents as a focal-point accent.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black primer coat across all assembled sub-assemblies. Prime legs, carapace, and arms separately for easier access to recesses.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat all armour plates with a deep military green such as Caliban Green or Dark Angel Green.
- Apply a second thinner coat of a mid green such as Warpstone Glow to raised panels, leaving the recesses darker.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out all edging, bolts, rivets, and border strips with a mid brass or Balthasar Gold.
- Wash the entire model with a dark brown or black shade to settle colour into recesses and unify the finish. Reapply brass highlights after drying.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat all weapon barrels and mechanical housings with Leadbelcher or a comparable dark metallic silver.
- Add a thin wash of Nuln Oil across all metal areas, then edge highlight with Ironbreaker on raised barrel lips and saw teeth.
5. Weathering
- Stipple a dark rust or Rhinox Hide around lower leg panels, foot pads, and joint guards to suggest field wear.
- Drybrush a light silver such as Stormhost Silver sparingly along upper armour edges for a scuffed, used appearance.
6. Bases
- Texture paste in a neutral urban grey or rubble mix suits the walker aesthetic. Finish with a thin coat of Agrax Earthshade, then drybrush Dawnstone for contrast before adding static grass or debris scatter to taste.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
