Springers of The Great Harvest are a set of three highly detailed 32mm scale resin wargaming miniatures, delivered as physical, already-printed figures with supports removed and ready to assemble and paint. Each model embodies a relentless, bio-mechanical predator forged in the depths of a dying universe, where flesh and iron have long since become one. These are the shock troops of a pitiless galactic reaping force, cast in fine grey resin and bristling with bladed limbs, hooked talons, and skulled helms that speak of countless fallen worlds.
The squad of three comes with 13 unique poses and up to 30 individual parts spread across the build kit, giving hobbyists genuine variety in how they assemble their fireteam. Three distinct head options are included, ranging from a closed skull-helm to a snarling fanged visage and a horned predator mask. Each figure is mounted on a round display base. The multi-part construction allows for varied dynamic stances, from crouched ambush postures to wide aggressive charges. At 32mm scale these models fit seamlessly alongside most grimdark sci-fi tabletop ranges.
Springers of The Great Harvest are ideal for use in skirmish games, as objective markers, or simply as a centrepiece for a collector's shelf. The level of surface detail across the carapace plating, articulated limbs, and bladed weapons rewards careful layered painting and makes them a rewarding project for intermediate and advanced hobbyists alike. Every unit ships ready to be glued, assembled with your preferred plastic or resin adhesive, primed, and painted.
Sculpted with a grimdark sci-fi aesthetic, these miniatures suggest a faction born of insectoid horror and mechanical augmentation. Whether used in a narrative campaign or a competitive warband, they bring a menacing, alien energy to the table. This piece comes from DakkaDakka's range, sculpted to bring that distinctive blend of organic dread and mechanical brutality to your collection.
Painting Guide: Springers of The Great Harvest x 3 - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm ScaleThe following guide is designed to help you bring Springers of The Great Harvest to life with a cold, bio-mechanical colour scheme that suits their predatory character.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of black or dark grey spray primer across all surfaces, ensuring deep recesses are covered.
- Once dry, apply a light zenithal dusting of white or pale grey from above to establish a natural highlight map.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat all carapace panels with a desaturated blue-grey or cold slate tone.
- Apply a second thin coat if needed for even, opaque coverage across the large flat plates.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the mechanical joints, tubes, and smaller structural elements in a dark bronze or oxidised copper tone.
- Apply a targeted wash of dark brown or black ink into all recesses to deepen contrast and define panel edges.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat blades and talons in a dark iron or gunmetal grey.
- Drybrush the edges lightly with a bright silver to suggest razor-sharp, well-used cutting edges.
5. Weathering
- Stipple thin patches of rust-brown and ochre at joints and lower surfaces to suggest age and battlefield wear.
- Add thin scratches and chips to armour panels using a fine brush and a lighter grey or silver.
6. Bases
- Texture with a fine sand or grit mix, prime black, then drybrush with a warm stone tone. Add a spot of tufted grass or alien flora for contrast against the cold armour palette.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
