Forgotten Champions rise from the ash and ruin of a dying world, and none stand taller than Sermith the Guardian. A colossal warrior clad in ornate plate armour, Sermith looms over the battlefield with a massive two-handed blade raised across one shoulder and a cracked round shield gripped in the other. Sculpted by Haito, this single-miniature set draws deep inspiration from giant warrior archetypes, delivering a figure that commands attention on any tabletop.

The detail on this resin model is exceptional. Layered pauldrons, chainmail beneath the gorget, and a flowing tattered coat suggest a veteran who has endured countless campaigns. The base is scattered with skulls, reinforcing the grim toll this guardian has extracted from those who dared to stand against them. Standing at approximately 75mm to the top of the blade, Sermith makes for a striking centrepiece or elite combatant in any skirmish warband.

Designed for collectors and competitive players alike, this Forgotten Champions release fits seamlessly into grimdark fantasy and dark age sci-fi settings. Whether fielded as a boss encounter, a named hero, or a looming threat, Sermith the Guardian earns a place at the heart of your force.

Supplied as a single unpainted resin miniature. Some assembly may be required. Suitable for players aged 15 and over. Paints and glue sold separately.

Painting Guide: Sermith the Guardian - Giant

This guide will help you bring one of the most imposing Forgotten Champions to life on your hobby desk, from base coat to finished battle-worn centrepiece.

1. Prime

  • Apply a zenithal prime using black spray from below and light grey or bone spray from above to establish natural shading across the armour plates and coat

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat all plate armour with a warm off-white or aged bone tone such as Ushabti Bone or Wraithbone
  • Apply a thin wash of Agrax Earthshade or Seraphim Sepia into all recesses to build depth between plates

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out chest engravings, belt buckles, and strap fittings with a brass or antique gold, then shade with Reikland Fleshshade
  • Highlight raised edges of the gold trim with a fine line of Liberator Gold or Runefang Steel for a worn metallic sheen

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the blade with Leadbelcher, wash with Nuln Oil, and edge highlight with Stormhost Silver for cold battered steel
  • Paint the sword grip and pommel in gold tones to match the chest trim, keeping it richer to suggest a prized weapon

5. Weathering

  • Stipple Rhinox Hide and Typhus Corrosion onto lower armour edges, boots, and the shield face to suggest mud, age, and heavy use
  • Add fine scratches along blade edges and pauldrons using a thin line of Runefang Steel applied with a detail brush

6. Bases

  • Drybrush the skull-littered base with Screaming Skull over a Dryad Bark undercoat, then add a spot colour with a thin green or brown wash in the recesses to suggest decay, tying Sermith the Guardian firmly into the Forgotten Champions aesthetic
