Sci-fi collectors and wargame hobbyists will find the Aerobellum Purgators Squad a striking addition to any machine cult force. This set contains 5 individually sculpted resin miniatures, each measuring 31mm from feet to eyes, and arriving as physical pre-printed figures with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned ready for assembly and painting.

Each miniature in this squad embodies the eerie fusion of organic form and cold mechanical augmentation. Oversized dome helmets dominate the silhouette, trailing fabric cowls and festooned with skull iconography and ritual bindings. The bodies are compact and chibi in proportion, yet packed with intricate detail: segmented armour plating, servo harnesses, utility belts, and a range of weapons including what appear to be combat rifles and close-combat tools. Lower limbs terminate in multi-taloned mechadendrite claws, giving each figure a hovering, levitating stance above its scenic column base. The sculpt variety across the five models ensures that no two read identically on the tabletop, with differences in weapon loadout and pose keeping the unit visually dynamic.

Sculpted by DakkaDakka, these sci-fi miniatures are cast in high-quality grey resin and arrive ready to prime and paint. They are compatible with standard 32mm round bases and suit a wide range of grimdark tabletop rulesets. Whether you are expanding an existing machine cult warband or starting a new force, the Purgators bring genuine character to the battlefield.

Each set includes 5 models. Supplied unpainted. Plastic or resin glue recommended for final assembly where required.

Painting Guide: Sci-Fi Machine Cult Miniatures:Aerobellum Purgators Squad

The following guide is designed to help you achieve a cohesive grimdark machine cult finish on your squad, balancing cold metallic tones with aged robes and glowing power sources.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer across all surfaces. Grey primer works well to preserve midtone values on the armour panels.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat armour plates with a cold off-white or pale bone colour to suggest ceramite plating.
  • Wash with a blue-grey shade to deepen the recesses and define panel lines across the dome helmets and chest armour.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out mechanical trim, rivets, and servo bindings in a dark iron or gunmetal tone.
  • Highlight raised edges with a bright silver to simulate worn metal against the pale armour.

4. Weapons

  • Paint rifle bodies in a dark steel, then drybrush lightly with a lighter metallic to bring out barrel ridges and grip details.
  • Add spot colour to any power cells or energy ports using a bright green or sickly yellow to suggest active machine energy.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a thin oil wash or enamel pin wash over all metallic surfaces to simulate grime and age consistent with long machine cult service.
  • Lightly sponge chipping effects onto armour edges using a dark brown or black to suggest field wear.

6. Bases

  • Paint the column bases in a cracked stone or rusted metal scheme. A dry brush of pale grey over a dark brown base gives a fast and effective industrial floor effect.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
