Sci-fi warfare reaches a new level of brutal efficiency with the Hovercraft Tank Solpuga D-10, a fearsome armoured vehicle born from the fanatical devotion of a machine-worshipping cult. This physical resin miniature arrives with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint. Measuring approximately 144.6mm in length, 85.5mm in width, and 83.5mm in height, this imposing war machine dominates any tabletop battlefield with its hulking, rounded hull and layered armour plating.
The Solpuga D-10 kit contains 19 individual parts, allowing for a satisfying and rewarding assembly experience. The model features a central rotating turret with a multi-barrelled gatling-style cannon, sponson-mounted heavy weapons on both flanks, twin hull-mounted gun emplacements, and two detailed crew figures in armoured suits emerging from hatches atop the vehicle. The hovercraft-style track pods give the tank a distinctive silhouette that sets it apart from conventional armoured vehicles on the table.
Designed with the grimdark aesthetic of a Sci-fi machine cult in mind, the Solpuga D-10 carries all the hallmarks of a society that venerates iron and fire above all else. Riveted panels, circular access hatches, exposed engine housings, and layered mechanical detail cover every surface. Whether used as a heavy support vehicle or a centrepiece model, this resin miniature commands attention at every angle. Sculpted by DakkaDakka, it reflects a high standard of detail suited to experienced painters and collectors alike.
This model is supplied unpainted and requires assembly with suitable plastic or resin adhesive. Paints and glue are sold separately.
Painting Guide: Sci-Fi Machine Cult - Hovercraft Tank Solpuga D-10The following guide will help you bring the Solpuga D-10 to life with a cohesive, battle-worn machine cult colour scheme suited to a grimdark Sci-fi aesthetic.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black spray primer evenly across all assembled or individual parts before painting begins.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the hull and armour panels in a dark iron or slate grey using a flat brush or airbrush for smooth coverage.
- Apply a second thin coat where needed to ensure an even, opaque finish across all curved surfaces.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out rivets, hatches, and mechanical trim in a bronze or aged gold tone to reflect the cult's reverence for ancient technology.
- Paint recessed panel lines and vents in a darker tone, such as a deep brown or black, to add depth and separation between components.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat all weapon barrels and emplacements in a dark gunmetal or steel colour.
- Highlight the tips of gun barrels with a lighter silver to suggest heat and heavy use in combat.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown or black wash across the entire model, allowing it to settle into panel lines, rivets, and recesses for shadow and contrast.
- Use a sponge or dry brush to stipple chipping effects across armour edges in a mid-tone metal, simulating battlefield damage and wear.
6. Bases
- Finish the crew figures and any optional base with a texture paste, rubble, or fine grit, painted in earthy tones to complement the industrial grey of the vehicle.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
