The Rat Clan returns with these ferocious Miner Rat Bikers, each one piloting a single massive wheel vehicle crammed with scavenged pipes, bolted armour plates, and jury-rigged firepower. This listing includes two physical resin miniatures, supports already removed and cleaned, ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box.
Each model depicts a hulking ratfolk rider seated inside the spinning ring of an enormous mono-wheel contraption. The wheel itself is wrapped in thick segmented treads and braced with curved roll bars, while exhausts and fuel canisters cluster around the axle. The rider grips the controls with one hand and levels a chunky blaster pistol with the other, jaw stretched wide in a savage snarl. The Rat Clan aesthetic comes through clearly in every rivet and bolt: brutal, improvised, and somehow still rolling at speed. Models measure approximately 54 mm tall on their bases, with footprints of 29x58 mm and 46x58 mm respectively across the two base options shown.
Each miniature is cast in high-detail grey resin. Parts count is six pieces per model, allowing clean assembly with standard plastic-compatible or super glue. Mould lines are minimal and flash has been removed during production prep.
Painting Guide: Rat Clan - Miner Rat Bikers (x2)These models reward a grimy, industrial paint scheme. The large wheel surfaces give plenty of space for rust and grime effects, while the rider's face and armour offer strong focal points for contrast and detail work.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black spray primer to seal all surfaces before basecoating.
2. Armour Base
- Base the wheel and armour panels in a mid-grey or dark iron tone such as Leadbelcher or Iron Hands Steel.
- Apply a thin coat of Typhus Corrosion to recessed areas to begin building up grime texture.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out bolts, pipes, and rolled-bar cages with a bright silver or gold to suggest different metals.
- Wash all metallic areas with Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade to unify the tones and deepen shadows.
4. Weapons
- Base the pistol in a dark metal, then edge highlight with a lighter silver to make it pop against the wheel.
- Add a spot colour such as red or yellow to the gun casing for visual interest and faction identity.
5. Weathering
- Stipple Ryza Rust or orange-brown paint onto edges and flat panels to simulate heavy corrosion and hard use.
- Draw fine scratches with a small brush loaded with Runefang Steel or equivalent bright silver across worn edges.
6. Bases
- Paint the base in a rubble or industrial dirt scheme using grey and brown tones, then drybrush lightly with pale grey to lift surface texture and tie the model to a wasteland or underhive setting.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
