Perfect proxy miniatures for use with the Ratmen Clans list in OPR’s Grimdark Future

All models are printed with high-quality ABS-like resin, ensuring they are both durable and sturdy. The models are produced in grey resin.

Each model undergoes a four-stage cleaning process, followed by meticulous post-processing, which includes support removal, sanding, and a final inspection. Our goal is to provide you with a model that requires no additional work and is ready for painting.

This set consists of ready-to-assemble parts. Super glue is best for assembly.

Emphasise age, authority, and industrial brutality with deep shadows, worn metals, and subtle glow effects.

1. Prime

  • Use a black primer to establish strong contrast and a grimdark base.

2. Armour Base

  • Base fur in dark browns or sooty greys for an underground-dwelling look.
  • Paint the hood and cape in muted tones such as deep red, dark green, or charcoal.
  • Highlight raised areas with lighter greys or desaturated browns to bring out texture.

3. Trim and Details

  • Use aged metallics (iron, bronze) for armour plates and mechanical fittings.
  • Pick out belts, straps, and pouches in worn leather tones.
  • Apply black and sepia washes to deepen recesses and create a Rat Clan grime effect.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the drill hand with dark steel, adding bright silver highlights along the edges.
  • Add rust streaks and oil staining near joints and moving parts.
  • Optional: apply a faint glow (green or orange) around the drill to suggest heat or unstable energy.

5. Weathering

  • Use sponge chipping on metal areas to simulate heavy industrial wear.
  • Add grime and soot to the lower cloak and around the drill mechanism.
  • Lightly drybrush dust tones over feet and hem to reflect constant exposure to mine debris.

6. Bases

  • Build a mine-themed base using dark rocks, broken timbers, or scattered ore.
  • Finish with subtle drybrushing and patches of dirt to ground the model in a subterranean setting.
