Primus Pattern Dreadnought Weapons bring a fearsome arsenal of interchangeable ranged and melee options to your hulking walker builds. This comprehensive dreadnought customisation kit is packed with detail, sculpted in a grimdark sci-fi style that suits veteran warbringers of the far future. Each component arrives as a physical resin miniature, supports already removed, cleaned and ready to assemble and paint.
The kit contains a wide array of weapons suitable for a full dreadnought loadout. Ranged options include multi-barrelled rotary cannons, missile pod launchers, twin-linked autocannons, heavy plasma weapons, and a devastating gatling-style barrel assembly. Melee options include a large power fist with integrated claws, a crushing siege fist, a massive axe with mechanical handle, and an ornate mace-style weapon topped with a decorative skull motif. Additional smaller weapon pieces and shoulder-mounted accessories are also included, making this one of the most complete Primus Pattern Dreadnought Weapons sets available. Models are scaled for standard 28mm to 32mm wargaming figures and fit proportionally onto walker-class chassis in that range.
Whether you are building a close-combat destroyer or a long-range fire support walker, this dreadnought customisation kit gives you the components to do both. The level of surface detail is exceptional, with riveted armour panels, cable bundles, vented barrels and mechanical joints all sharply rendered. Parts are cast in high-quality grey resin and are compatible with most plastic and resin walker kits available on the market.
Supplied unassembled and unpainted. Super glue is recommended for assembly. Some minor cleaning may be required on mould lines before painting.
Painting Guide: Primus Pattern Dreadnought Weapons - Dreadnought customisation kitThe Primus Pattern Dreadnought Weapons reward careful painting. Take your time with each weapon section and the results will look outstanding on the tabletop.
1. Prime
- Apply a thin, even coat of grey or black spray primer to all components before painting.
- Grey primer is ideal for brighter colour schemes, while black primer suits darker or battle-worn aesthetics.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a flat base coat across all armour panels using your chosen colour. Deep blue, dark green, or iron grey all work well for a veteran walker aesthetic.
- Thin your paints to roughly a milk consistency for smooth, even coverage over the resin surface.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint raised trim, rivets and panel edges in a metallic such as Leadbelcher or Vallejo Gunmetal.
- Pick out cables and hoses in a contrasting dark colour such as dark red or ochre to add visual interest.
4. Weapons
- Paint barrel interiors and muzzle openings with a dark brown, then drybrush with a light metallic to create a heat-scorched effect.
- For the melee weapons, use a brighter steel on blade and striking surfaces, then shade back with a dark wash.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark wash such as Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade over all metallic areas and recesses to add depth and age.
- Use a sponge or stippling brush with a mid-grey to dab chipping across armour panels, focusing on edges and high-traffic areas.
6. Bases
- If mounting weapons on a display base, use cracked earth texture paste or rubble scatter to complement the industrial grimdark tone of the kit.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
