The Ork Set for Orktober brings three distinct grimdark sci-fi bruisers to your tabletop, each sculpted with brutal character and ready to terrorise the battlefield. This physical resin set includes a hulking melee warrior armed with a serrated cleaver and studded armour plates, a maniacal goblinoid rider perched atop a spiked rocket bomb, and a broad-shouldered heavy carrying a crude metal shield. Supports have already been removed and parts cleaned, so the miniatures arrive ready to assemble and paint at 32mm scale.
Each figure in this Ork Set for Orktober oozes personality. The large melee brute stands with bolt-riveted shoulder guards, a mechanical eyepiece, and a tattered coat over muscle-bound arms. The goblinoid squig-rider grips a stubby pistol and wears flight goggles, sitting astride a wheeled bomb covered in craters. The shield-bearer crouches low, clutching a battered rectangular plate as a makeshift defence. Together they make a striking warband or objective-holding unit for any grimdark sci-fi skirmish game.
The set contains three resin miniatures and is suitable for 32mm scale wargaming rulesets. Minor assembly may be required for multi-part components. Super glue or plastic-compatible resin adhesive is recommended. Painting and basing materials are sold separately.
This Ork Set for Orktober is designed for experienced adult hobbyists who want characterful, heavily detailed warriors with a raw, industrial aesthetic on the tabletop.
Painting Guide: Ork Set for OrktoberThis guide will help you get the most out of these grimdark bruisers using a fast and striking approach suitable for both display and gaming tables.
1. Prime
- Apply a black or dark grey spray primer across all three models for strong contrast and shadow retention.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat metal armour plates with a dark gunmetal or iron tone, applied by brush or airbrush.
- Pick out leather straps and belts in a deep brown, leaving primer showing in recesses.
3. Trim and Details
- Drybrush bolt heads, rivets, and raised edges with a bright silver for instant depth.
- Paint skull icons and crude insignia in off-white or bone, then shade with a brown wash.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the cleaver blade in steel grey and apply a dark wash to define the serrated teeth.
- Paint the rocket bomb in chipped red or rusted orange with a sponge technique for a worn finish.
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown and black oil wash across all armour surfaces, wiping back highlights when dry.
- Use a silver pencil or dry brush to chip edges of the shield and shoulder guards for battle-worn realism.
6. Bases
- Texture with fine sand or cork rubble, prime black, then drybrush grey and light stone for an urban warzone look.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
