The Ork Marauders (Build Kit) is a squad of three hulking, battle-hardened warriors cast in high-quality resin and delivered to you as physical miniatures, supports already removed and ready to assemble and paint. Standing 32mm from feet to eyes, these bruisers cut an imposing silhouette on the tabletop, their thick armour plating, heavy weapons, and savage expressions making them an instant centrepiece for any grimdark sci-fi warband.
Each kit contains 46 individual parts, giving you a tremendous level of choice when building your squad. The set includes 19 hands and weapons, covering chunky automatic cannons, rotary guns, power mauls, and brutal close-combat tools. You also receive 14 heads and shoulder pads, ranging from bare tusked faces and bearded scowls to goggled helmets and riveted iron masks. This modular system means no two Ork Marauders (Build Kit) squads need look alike, letting you create a uniquely characterful mob that reflects your own hobby vision.
The sculpts were designed by DakkaDakka and carry the brand's signature aesthetic: exaggerated musculature, heavily textured surfaces, layered mechanical detail, and a raw brutality that suits grimdark settings perfectly. Whether you are expanding an existing force or starting a new warband, this kit delivers outstanding variety and posing potential in a compact, well-engineered package.
Assembly requires plastic or resin-compatible super glue. Priming before painting is strongly recommended for best adhesion and coverage on resin surfaces.
Painting Guide: Ork Marauders (Build Kit)Follow this step-by-step guide to bring your Ork Marauders (Build Kit) to life with a gritty, battle-worn finish that suits the grimdark aesthetic perfectly.
1. Prime
- Spray with a grey or black primer for strong adhesion and deep shadow retention across the heavily textured surfaces.
- Allow to cure fully before applying any basecoats.
2. Armour Base
- Apply a dark military green such as Castellan Green or Caliban Green to all armour panels.
- Follow with a heavy drybrush of a lighter green such as Loren Forest to pick out raised edges and rivets.
3. Trim and Details
- Paint all mechanical trim, bolts, and armour banding with Leadbelcher or a similar dark steel tone.
- Add spot colours to trophies, straps, and cloth using browns, bone, or deep red for contrast.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat weapon bodies in Leadbelcher, then wash with Nuln Oil for depth and shadow.
- Drybrush barrel ends and worn edges lightly with Ironbreaker or Stormhost Silver.
5. Weathering
- Apply a wash of Agrax Earthshade or Contrast Basilicanum Grey across the entire miniature to tie colours together and deepen recesses.
- Stipple rust tones such as Ryza Rust onto lower armour panels, joints, and weapon housings for a battered field-campaign look.
6. Bases
- Use texture paste in a muddy or rubble tone, then drybrush with a light tan or grey to suggest a ruined warzone environment that complements the squad's brutal character.
This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
