“She swings the axe twice before she looks at what she has hit. Ash cakes the runes on her boots so thick nobody remembers what they once asked for.”
Odin Daughter 2

The Odin Daughter 2 is a fierce Norse warrior miniature, arriving as a fully printed and cleaned physical resin figure ready for assembly and painting. She stands in a bold, battle-ready pose with a broad double-headed axe raised high overhead and a round Celtic-knotwork shield braced at her side. Her wild cascade of long, flowing hair spills freely behind her horned helm, and layered fur-trimmed boots, studded leather straps, and a heavily textured fur cloak give her a commanding, larger-than-life silhouette. Runic inscriptions ring her detailed base, grounding her firmly in Norse mythology.

Supplied unpainted.

This miniature is sculpted by Mini Realms as part of their growing Norse range, and the level of surface detail rewards careful painting at every scale. The ornate shield boss, interlocking knotwork panels, and layered fur textures all respond beautifully to washes and drybrushing. The figure stands approximately 32mm scale and ships as a physical resin piece with supports already removed and surfaces cleaned, ready to assemble and prime.

The squad size for Odin Daughter 2 is a single character miniature, making her ideal as a hero, champion, or warband leader on the tabletop. She pairs naturally with the wider Odin Daughter range for a cohesive shield-maiden warband.

Whether you are building a display piece or reinforcing a Norse warband, this figure delivers the drama and craftsmanship serious hobbyists expect.

Painting Guide: Odin Daughter 2 - Norse Resin Miniature

This guide is aimed at intermediate painters looking to bring out the full drama of her fur, knotwork, and battle-worn armour.

1. Prime

  • Apply a zenithal prime using black from below and grey or off-white from directly above to establish natural light and shadow across the fur cloak and armour plates.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat the armour plates with a mid-tone steel grey or dark iron, such as Vallejo Dark Steel or Citadel Leadbelcher.
  • Apply a dark brown or black wash into the recesses to define the panel lines and rivets before building back up with edge highlights.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint the shield boss and axe head trims with a warm gold, such as Citadel Retributor Armour, then shade with Agrax Earthshade for an aged bronze look.
  • Pick out the runic knotwork on the shield and base with a lighter gold or brass highlight, keeping brush strokes tight to the raised edges.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat the axe blade in a dark metal and layer up to a bright steel edge highlight along the cutting edge only.
  • Add subtle rust streaks to the lower blade using a thin orange-brown glaze to suggest a seasoned weapon.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple chipped paint effects onto the shield face using a torn foam sponge with dark brown, followed by a thin silver edge to simulate impact damage.
  • Drag a dry brush of light grey across the fur cloak to lift the tips of individual fur strands and add depth to the texture.

6. Bases

  • The sculpted runic base can be painted in cold stone grey with a dark wash, then drybrushed with off-white. Add tufts of dead grass or snow flock around the edges to reinforce the frozen Norse battlefield setting.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
