Forgotten Champions rise from the darkest corners of the battlefield, and Nocthra stands among the most feared of their number. A vampire warrior of cold purpose and lethal grace, she commands the dead with one outstretched hand while her ornate greatsword carves ruin through the living with the other.
Sculpted by Haito, this 32mm resin miniature captures Nocthra mid-stride, her billowing cape swept back to reveal a figure adorned with skull motifs across her belt, necklace, and anklets. The detail work is exceptional, from the etched runes along her blade to the individual strands of hair caught in an unseen wind. The scenic base features cracked stone terrain and scattered skulls, adding immediate narrative weight to the piece.
Designed with Mercenary faction inspiration, Nocthra fits seamlessly into any warband that values power over allegiance. As part of the Forgotten Champions range, she pairs well with other elite and monstrous infantry looking to dominate skirmish-scale games. Squad size is one model, making her ideal as a hero, champion, or objective-focused centrepiece.
Whether you field her as a vampire lord, dark spellblade, or ancient revenant mercenary, Nocthra delivers the kind of presence on the tabletop that turns heads mid-game. This is Forgotten Champions character modelling at its finest.
Painting Guide: Nocthra - Vampire FighterThis guide will help you bring Nocthra to life using a grimdark palette that suits her dark mercenary origins within the Forgotten Champions aesthetic.
1. Prime
- Prime in black for deep shadows, or grey if you prefer a more balanced zenithal highlight before painting
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour plates with dark steel grey, leaving recesses black
- Layer up with a cold blue-silver to suggest ancient enchanted metal
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out skull motifs and belt details in aged bone, shaded with a brown wash
- Highlight raised edges of skulls with off-white for a bleached effect
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the greatsword blade in dark iron, then apply a teal-green glaze along the runes to suggest magic
- Highlight the blade edge sharply with bright silver to contrast the dark body
5. Weathering
- Apply a dark brown and black pin wash across all recesses to age and dirty the surface
- Stipple rust tones at blade edges and armour joints for a battle-worn look
6. Bases
- Drybrush the cracked stone base in mid-grey then light grey, paint skulls in bone tones, and finish with a dark brown wash for cohesion with the overall grimdark scheme
