“Zargok counts his wealth in teeth, not coin. His hog has trampled three warbands into the ash and hungers for a fourth.”
Zargok Da Hogmasta by DakkaDakka

Zargok Da Hogmasta is a single-model resin miniature scaled at 32mm, depicting a brutish greenskin warlord astride a snarling armoured beast. Supports have already been removed and the piece arrives cleaned and ready to assemble and paint. Every surface is packed with grimdark detail: bolted scrap-plate armour, a spiked shoulder guard, a mechanical claw arm loaded with nuts and pistons, and a heavy chain draped across the rider's body.

Supplied unpainted.

The beast beneath Zargok is no less imposing. Its armoured face-plate bristles with jagged teeth sculpted in riveted metal, and savage claws rake the cracked-rock base. A tall standard pole rises above the whole composition, topped with a crude iron fist clutching a skull-marked disc. The pose is full of kinetic aggression, leaning forward mid-charge as though nothing on the battlefield can stop this duo.

Zargok Da Hogmasta makes an outstanding centrepiece or boss character for any greenskin-themed sci-fi warband. At 32mm scale the detail holds up under close scrutiny and rewards careful brushwork, making this miniature a genuine showpiece for experienced painters looking for a rewarding project.

Sculpted and published by DakkaDakka, this model is cast in high-quality grey resin. It ships as a physical miniature, supports removed, ready for assembly and painting.

Painting Guide: Zargok Da Hogmasta

The following guide gives you a straightforward route to a battle-worn grimdark finish that suits the brutal character of this model.

1. Prime

  • Apply a matt grey or black primer in thin, even coats to seal the resin surface before painting.

2. Armour Base

  • Block in the scrap-plate armour with a dark ironmetal basecoat such as Leadbelcher or similar steel grey.
  • Paint the beast's armoured face-plate with a darker gunmetal to set it apart from the rider's gear.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out bolts, nuts, and mechanical arm components with a bright silver to create contrast against the darker plates.
  • Paint the skull iconography on the standard and belt in aged bone tones, layering up from brown to off-white.

4. Weapons and Chain

  • Basecoat the chain in dark iron and drybrush with bright silver to catch every link edge.
  • Apply a thin orange-brown wash into the recesses to suggest rust and heavy use.

5. Skin and Beast Fur

  • Basecoat the rider's skin in a mid-green, shade with a dark green wash, and layer up to a bright yellow-green on raised muscles.
  • Paint the beast's exposed hide in a warm grey-brown, washing with sepia and drybrushing lightly with cream.

6. Weathering

  • Stipple chipped paint effects on armour edges using a torn piece of blister foam loaded with dark brown then bright silver.
  • Add streaks of orange rust using a thin brush and heavily diluted rust-orange paint, pulling downward from bolt holes.

7. Base

  • Paint the cracked-rock base in dark grey, drybrush with medium grey then light stone, and finish with a black rim.
