The Minoan Aegis Sciritai are an elite unit of towering, horned warriors clad in ornate sci-fi armour that blends ancient Aegean iconography with brutal, far-future warfare. Each figure stands at 32mm scale and carries twin heavy pistols, ready to unleash devastating firepower across any battlefield. The chest plates are adorned with spread-wing raptor motifs and layered Greek-key trim, while enormous multi-pronged horns rise from each warrior's helm, marking them as feared veterans of the void wars. This squad contains three resin miniatures, each in a distinct combat pose, offering varied silhouettes on the tabletop.
Every Minoan Aegis Sciritai arrives as a physical resin miniature. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned and sanded where needed. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted, ready for your hobby desk. These figures are produced by Atlan Forge, a studio known for richly detailed sculpts that reward careful painting and enthusiastic collectors alike. They integrate seamlessly into any grimdark sci-fi wargaming collection that calls for imposing, characterful infantry with a mythological edge.
The level of sculpted detail on each Minoan Aegis Sciritai is exceptional. From the segmented pauldrons decorated with meander borders, to the layered pteruges hanging at the waist and the intricately panelled gauntlets wrapped around each sidearm, every surface offers a rewarding painting project. At 32mm scale these warriors command real presence on the tabletop, towering over standard human-scale troopers and drawing the eye in any game.
Painting Guide: Minoan Aegis Sciritai - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm ScaleThis painting guide is designed to help you bring your Minoan Aegis Sciritai to life with a scheme that honours the unit's ancient-meets-future aesthetic. Work in thin coats, allow each layer to dry fully, and take your time on the ornate trim to make this squad truly stand out.
1. Prime
- Apply a grey or black spray primer over the entire model, holding the can at least 25cm away for smooth, even coverage.
- Check for any missed recesses and touch up with a brush-applied primer if needed before proceeding.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the armour plates with a deep bronze or warm copper tone to evoke ancient Aegean metallics.
- Apply a second thin layer to any areas where coverage is uneven, keeping the coat smooth before shading.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the Greek-key borders and raised wing motifs in a bright gold or brassy yellow to contrast the darker armour panels.
- Paint the horns in a pale bone white, shading down into cream and ivory at the tips for a natural, aged look.
4. Weapons
- Basecoat the twin pistols in a dark gunmetal grey, then drybrush lightly with a lighter silver to pick out panel edges and barrel rims.
- Add a spot of bright blue or green to any visible energy cells or lens details for a sci-fi glow effect.
5. Weathering
- Apply a brown or sepia wash into all recesses across the armour to deepen shadows and add battle-worn grime to the ornate surfaces.
- Stipple a small amount of dark brown at pauldron edges and knee plates to suggest combat damage and long campaigns in the field.
6. Bases
- Texture the base with a sandy paste or fine grit, paint in a warm ochre or ash grey, and finish with a light drybrush to suggest a desolate, ancient battlefield. Add a few tufts of dried grass or small rubble pieces to complete the scene.
