The Mind Absorber of The Great Harvest is a towering, grotesque entity that dominates the battlefield with its bloated, spike-riddled carapace and razor-edged limbs. This physical resin miniature stands at an impressive 82mm total height, making it an undeniable centrepiece for any sci-fi wargaming force. Cast in high-quality resin, it arrives with supports already removed and is ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box.
Every surface of this miniature rewards close inspection. The rounded dorsal shell is encrusted with exposed brain-like nodules, hollow socket craters, and jagged bone spurs. Four wide, blade-tipped limbs splay outward with predatory menace, while the frontal maw bristles with layered fangs and writhing appendages. A smaller secondary face clusters beneath the main jaw, adding a deeply unsettling layer of biological horror to the sculpt.

Whether deployed as a monstrous creature, a psyker-beast, or a central boss encounter piece, this model brings immediate visual weight to any grimdark sci-fi army. The single-model kit is supplied unpainted, giving you full creative control over every disturbing detail.

Painting Guide: Mind Absorber of The Great Harvest - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures, 32mm ScaleThe following guide will help you bring this alien horror to life with striking results. The Mind Absorber of The Great Harvest rewards careful layering and contrast techniques across its complex organic surfaces.
1. Prime
- Apply a zenithal prime using grey or black undercoat from below and white from above to define natural light and shadow across the domed carapace.
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat the main shell with a deep bone or pale ivory tone such as Ushabti Bone or Screaming Skull.
- Apply a thin wash of Seraphim Sepia or Agrax Earthshade into all recesses to define the panelled segments.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the brain nodules and eye sockets with a pale pink or fleshy tone, then wash with a diluted red-brown for depth.
- Highlight the raised edges of the carapace panels with a near-white drybrush to reinforce the zenithal effect.
4. Weapons
- Paint the blade-tipped limbs with a dark metallic base such as Leadbelcher, then shade with Nuln Oil for a cold, chitinous look.
- Add edge highlights with Stormhost Silver to bring out the sharp, dangerous tips.
5. Weathering
- Stipple chipped areas on the carapace using a torn piece of blister foam loaded with a dark brown tone.
- Apply thin streaks of rust-brown flowing downward from the socket craters to suggest organic decay and battlefield wear.
6. Bases
- Use a cracked earth texture paste on the base, then paint it in ash grey or scorched brown to evoke a desolate alien world. A few tufts of pale dead grass finish the scene.
