The Maidens of Praesidium are a squad of five elite armoured warriors, each sculpted in striking grimdark detail and ready to take the field in your sci-fi wargaming battles. These physical resin miniatures arrive with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint. Scaled at 32mm from feet to eyes, every figure in this set has been crafted with crisp panel lines, ornate gothic detailing, and dynamic poses that bring real presence to the tabletop.
Each of the five Maidens of Praesidium carries a distinct weapon loadout, including twin-headed poleaxes, coffin shields, ceremonial spears, and short blades, giving your squad visual variety while maintaining a unified aesthetic. Heart motifs, spiked pauldrons, flowing cloaks, and skull-faced helms reinforce their identity as a sworn order of grimdark guardians. The sculptor has paid close attention to the silhouette of each pose, ensuring the models read clearly from across the battlefield.
This set is ideal for use as elite infantry, veteran guardians, or leader-class warriors in any grimdark sci-fi wargame. The resin captures fine surface texture beautifully, and the detail level rewards careful painting. Whether you field all five together or mix them into existing squads, the Maidens of Praesidium deliver a commanding presence on any tabletop.
Each set contains five individual models on separate bases. Assembly may be required for some components. Supplied unpainted.
Painting Guide: Maidens of Praesidium - Sci-Fi Wargaming MiniaturesFollow these steps to bring your squad to life with a polished, battle-ready finish that suits the dark grandeur of their design.
1. Prime
- Apply a smooth grey or black spray primer over the whole model to seal the resin and provide a solid base for paint adhesion.
2. Armour Base
- Block in the main armour panels with a deep silver or dark steel metallic basecoat.
- For a more sinister look, try a near-black undercoat with a subtle blue or purple sheen drybrushed over the raised edges.
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out the heart motifs, skull helms, and ornamental trim in a contrasting gold or bone colour to make the decorative elements stand out.
- Use a fine liner brush on the panel recesses to define edges cleanly.
4. Weapons
- Paint poleaxe and spear blades with a bright silver, then shade with a dark wash to add depth along the fuller and edge.
- Twisted polearm shafts can be painted in a deep crimson or aged bronze to contrast the silver blades.
5. Weathering
- Apply a thin dark wash across all armour panels to settle into recesses and create natural shadow.
- Drybrush raised edges lightly with a bright silver or white-silver to simulate worn, battle-scarred plate.
6. Bases
- Finish the round bases with dark rubble texture paste, painted in grey and drybrushed pale stone, to complement the austere tone of the miniatures.
