The Legio Artemis Bellatrix Squad arrives as a ten-model physical resin miniature kit, sculpted with an exceptional level of grimdark detail and ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can get straight to the hobby the moment it lands on your doorstep. Each model measures 32mm from feet to eyes.

This squad captures the iron discipline and zealous fury of veteran warriors who have fought across a hundred war zones. The roster includes a commanding officer standing triumphant over a fallen enemy, a standard bearer carrying a bold red legion banner marked "LEGIO", a shrine bearer holding an ornate candlelit reliquary pole, a heavy weapons trooper shouldering a large-bore cannon, a dual-wielding pistoleer in a sharp firing stance, and five line sisters armed with bolt pistols and close-combat blades. Every pose is distinct and full of character, from the sergeant's snarling battle cry to the cool confidence of the markswoman lining up her shot.

Armour across the squad features interlocking plate sections finished with riveted leather tassets, circular shoulder pauldrons, and fleur-de-lis iconography worked into belt buckles and kneepads. Red capes billow behind each warrior, tying the squad together visually on the tabletop. The downed enemy on the officer's base adds narrative weight and makes her a natural centrepiece for the unit.

Designed by DakkaDakka, the Legio Artemis Bellatrix Squad is a strong addition to any force built around faith, firepower, and close-range aggression.

Painting Guide: Legio Artemis Bellatrix Squad (x10)

The colour scheme shown uses a steel-blue armour body, warm bronze trim, red capes, and dark leather strapping. The guide below follows that approach closely, but all choices are easily adapted to your own palette.

1. Prime

  • Apply a grey or black primer evenly across all models and allow to cure fully before moving on.

2. Armour Base

  • Basecoat all armour plates with a desaturated teal or slate blue, such as Vallejo Sombre Grey mixed with a touch of blue.
  • Apply a second thin coat to build opacity, then wash the recesses with a dark blue-black shade to deepen the panel lines.

3. Trim and Details

  • Paint all trim, rivets, pauldron rings, and belt fittings with a warm bronze basecoat, then highlight up through gold to a bright brass on raised edges.
  • Pick out leather strapping and tassets with a mid-brown, shade with a dark brown wash, and edge-highlight with a lighter tan.

4. Weapons

  • Basecoat firearms and blades with a dark metallic grey, wash with a black-brown shade, then drybrush lightly with bright silver on barrel edges and blade tips.
  • Paint wooden grip accents or candle details in warm ivory, with a thin orange-yellow glaze for flame effects on the reliquary.

5. Weathering

  • Stipple a small amount of dark brown around boot soles and lower leg armour to suggest mud and campaign wear.
  • Draw thin scratches across armour panels using a fine brush and bright silver to represent battle damage.

6. Bases

  • Texture paste or fine sand works well for a rubble and ash aesthetic. Paint in dark grey, drybrush stone colours, and finish with a matte varnish across the whole model to unify the finish.
