The Legio Artemis Bellatrix Squad arrives as a three-model physical resin miniature build kit, sculpted with an exceptional level of grimdark detail and ready to assemble and paint straight out of the box. Supports have already been removed and surfaces cleaned, so you can get straight to the hobby the moment it lands on your doorstep. The kit comes in 73 parts and measures 32mm from feet to eyes.

Each warrior in the squad is clad in layered power armour with flowing capes and segmented tassets, striking dynamic combat stances that communicate purpose and discipline. The build kit format gives you genuine flexibility across 58 unique parts, including 5 body variants, 10 interchangeable heads split between helmeted and bare-faced options, and 24 arms and weapons covering boltguns, special weapons, a power sword, and a detailed shrine standard. Whether you are building a rank-and-file unit or singling out a squad leader, the range of configurations keeps every model feeling individual.

Sculpted by DakkaDakka, the Bellatrix Squad sits naturally alongside the rest of the Legio Artemis range and pairs cleanly with other kits in the catalogue for larger squad builds or diorama arrangements. The additional bits, including backpacks, ammo feeds, and a ruined column scenic piece, add further depth to basing and conversion projects.

The Legio Artemis Bellatrix Squad is an ideal choice for hobbyists looking to expand or proxy a faith-driven elite infantry force with characterful, high-quality resin miniatures.

Painting Guide: Legio Artemis Bellatrix Squad (build kit)

The armour palette of the Bellatrix Squad suits bold, high-contrast schemes. The suggestions below work whether you favour a clean ceremonial look or a battered, campaign-worn finish.

1. Prime

  • Apply a thin, even coat of grey or white primer to all parts before assembly where possible, paying attention to recessed areas around the tassets and cape folds.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat the armour plates in a deep red such as Mephiston Red or Scale75 Antares Red for a classic devotional scheme.
  • Alternatively, use Corvus Black or Dark Reaper for a more austere midnight tone that emphasises the squad's martial severity.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out the raised trim, studs, and buckles in Retributor Armour or Brass Scorpion for a gilded look that contrasts well against both red and black armour.
  • Paint the fleur-de-lys belt buckle and shrine icons carefully with a fine detail brush in a brighter gold highlight such as Liberator Gold.

4. Weapons

  • Base the boltguns and special weapons in Mechanicus Standard Grey, then highlight up through Dawnstone to Administratum Grey along barrel edges and grip ridges.
  • Paint the power sword blade in White Scar, then glaze in Guilliman Blue or Aethermatic Blue from the hilt outward for a cold energy glow.

5. Weathering

  • Apply a wash of Agrax Earthshade into recesses on boots, knee guards, and the lower cape hem to suggest field wear and dust.
  • Stipple thinned Rhinox Hide onto armour edges, then follow with small chips of Runefang Steel using a torn blister pack sponge for battle damage.

6. Bases

  • Use the included ruined column scenic bit as a base centrepiece on your champion model. Drybrush with Ushabti Bone over a Dryad Bark basecoat, then add fine sand and tufts for a crumbling urban or ecclesiastical battlefield feel.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
