Forgotten Champions brings you Kaelen Duskbane, a Human Paladin sculpted by Haito and forged for those who demand presence on the battlefield. This single miniature carries the weight of conviction in every line, from the ornate winged skull shield to the skull-pommelled greatsword resting at his feet.
Standing in a commanding pose atop a cracked stone base, Kaelen is draped in intricately detailed plate armour and a sweeping battle cape that flows behind him with dynamic force. His expression is cold and resolute, a warrior who has buried saints and outlived empires. Every surface tells a story of campaigns fought and faith weaponised.
Sculpted for 32mm scale gameplay, this resin model is ideal for tabletop skirmish games, solo display projects, or as a hired blade in mercenary warbands. The Forgotten Champions range prides itself on cinematic detail and printable clarity, making Kaelen a standout piece whether raw or painted.
Supplied as a single miniature. Requires assembly and painting. Resin may require light cleaning prior to priming. Part of the Forgotten Champions mercenary collection sculpted by Haito.
Painting Guide: Kaelen Duskbane - Human PaladinThis guide leans into a grimdark mercenary aesthetic, treating Kaelen as a veteran who fights for coin rather than glory. Desaturated tones and heavy weathering suit the Forgotten Champions identity perfectly.
1. Prime
- Prime with grey or bone spray for a neutral base that complements both armour and skin tones
2. Armour Base
- Basecoat armour plates with a mid-grey or cold steel tone
- Apply a dark brown wash across all recesses to push depth into the sculpted detail
3. Trim and Details
- Pick out pauldron trim and shield engravings with a pale gold or aged brass
- Glaze over with a sepia wash to unify and dull the metallic sheen
4. Weapons
- Paint the blade with a dark silver and streak highlights upward to simulate edge wear
- Drybrush the skull pommel and crossguard with a lighter silver for contrast
5. Weathering
- Apply chipping effects along armour edges using a sponge and dark brown
- Add streaking grime down the cape and lower armour with thinned brown or black
6. Bases
- Drybrush the cracked stone base with light grey and bone, then add a dark wash to settle the shadows and ground the model visually
