Iskra Nova the Firestorm is a commanding single-character miniature standing 107mm from top to bottom, sculpted by DakkaDakka and delivered to you as a physical resin miniature with supports already removed, cleaned, and ready to assemble and paint. She arrives in 9 separate parts, giving you full control over pose assembly and painting before final construction.

This towering warrior stands atop a colossal fanged skull wreathed in ghostly flames, one arm raised high with a massive mechanical hammer and the other outstretched with a clawed gauntlet crackling with energy. Her armour is a brutal fusion of scaled plating, heavy mechanical shoulder rigs, exhaust vents, and shredded battle-worn tabard, evoking a veteran who has survived wars that would break lesser fighters. The base scenery, complete with jagged teeth and billowing flame effects, makes Iskra Nova the Firestorm an immediate centrepiece on any grimdark battlefield or display shelf.

The kit includes 3 head options, allowing you to choose between a helmeted daemonic visage or a bare human face with braided hair, and alternate back-pack and cloak components for additional customisation. Whether you field her as a warlord, champion, or centrepiece character, she projects raw authority across the table. Iskra Nova the Firestorm is a true collector-grade sculpt with the detail density to reward every stage of the painting process.

Scale: 107mm top to bottom. Comes as 9 resin parts. Superglue recommended for assembly. Supplied unpainted.

Painting Guide: Iskra Nova the Firestorm - Sci-Fi Wargaming Miniatures

This guide will help you bring Iskra Nova the Firestorm to life with a grimdark, battle-worn aesthetic that suits her brutal design and imposing presence on the tabletop.

1. Prime

  • Prime with a black or dark grey spray for deep shadow retention across the scaled armour and mechanical detail.
  • Optionally zenithal highlight with a white or bone spray from above to pre-shade the raised surfaces before painting begins.

2. Armour Base

  • Base coat the scaled armour plates in a dark steel or dark iron tone such as Leadbelcher or Scale75 Black Metal.
  • Apply a black wash across all armour panels and let it pool in the recesses to define every scale and rivet.

3. Trim and Details

  • Pick out chest symbols, belt plates, and mechanical joints in a brass or gold tone to separate them from the armour field.
  • Highlight the scaled edges with a lighter silver to simulate worn, battle-scratched surfaces.

4. Weapons

  • Paint the hammer head in a dark iron base, then dry-brush with silver to bring out the flat faces and rounded edges.
  • For the claw gauntlet, blend a faint electric blue or green into the fingertip recesses to suggest contained energy.

5. Weathering

  • Apply stippled rust tones to the lower armour legs and hammer shaft using a torn foam sponge and orange-brown paint.
  • Use a dark brown oil wash over the tabard to dirty the torn fabric and reinforce its battle-worn texture.

6. Bases

  • Paint the skull scenery in a pale bone or bleached tone, shaded with brown wash and dry-brushed white at the tips of the teeth.
  • Paint the flame effects with a gradient from deep orange at the base through yellow to near-white at the tips, with a final glaze of contrast orange to unify the blend.

This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy. Not suitable for children under 14 years due to small, detailed parts.
